Hummus Republic — Restaurant in Long Branch

Yesterday, I was at Long Branch and saw this joint. curious about what it has to offer... is it the same as halal food guys or something else- let's try it-

they have 3 options- Wrap PITA or Bowl

Bowl does not have a rice option, it has something called couscous – don’t know what it was, so did not try.

I chose Pita bread - they spread 3 types of Hummuses (I chose Harissa, Tzatziki, and Zesty) with beans, spinach, Chicken Shawarma, toppings (Onions, cabbage, Beets, tomato, etc...), and dressing...

you can choose whatever you want out of their spreads, proteins, toppings, hummus – it’s cool...mind it- their hat sauce can be really hot.

Sweet owners, helping you to choose cause let's accept it, it can be confusing sometimes.

Yes, it was so messy while eating - but I loved it.

On a busy day, there could be a cleanliness issue - just ignore it. they are trying their best. The portions are generous and very satisfying, and the menu is all very fresh and healthy. This is a great take-out spot that I recommend...

I just had the wonderful opportunity to try Hummus Republic for the first time and to say it was amazing was is an understatement. From the food to the hospitality I couldn’t ask for better. The food was fresh, delicious and a great healthy option. The staff was amazing and walked me through the entire menu as I stated it was my first time. I ordered the Pita bread with steak and a bunch of their creative yet delicious options. I enjoy spicy and their Harissa hummus nailed it on the head for me. This place is clean and has a great concept of offering fresh food made to order. Here are where my problems lie… the service was terribly slow. They don’t have enough people working and whoever is there is super slow. I waited over 45 minutes to get my order. There was a huge line and the same staff member that is making your pita bowl also is the one refilling all the supplies and ringing the customers up. Of course it took over 45mins to get our food and once we did the falafel wasn’t cooked all the way through. Again, give it a shot cuz the vision is there but need to tighten their ship up...
