No doubt this place is one of the great pizza places in town. However they have a hard time fulfilling their orders. Last night they were busy and the person that took my order let me know that the wait for delivery was over 1 and 1/2 hours long, and it seemed like he was talking me out of it, so I almost did not order. I asked if I could pick it up, and he told me that it would only be 30 minutes then, so I ordered 2 orders of wings, and a large extra pepperoni (I told the guy on the phone pepperoni x2), and a large salad. When it arrived, the pizza was almost hard because it was overcooked, and had 1x the pepperoni... Oh, and I only received 1 order of wings.... What a bummer. Don't get me wrong, the wings they did send were Excellent, and the pizza was okay even though it was overcooked and missing the extra pepperoni that I had to pay for. Its just that I paid for more, and was disappointed.

I didn't bother calling in. The owner in the past here has been apologetic, and she has asked me to call her directly to place my orders, but who wants that? They have gotten the toppings wrong over and over unless you make a big stink about it. I've stopped ordering from here for a few years, and started ordering again recently. The first pizza I ordered was excellent a few weeks ago, but this was my second experience. There should be someone on quality control before the orders go out. I think I'll wait a while before ordering again in hopes the service is better in the future..... I would much rather order from a family run business, but when every order from Blackjack and Pizza Hut is perfect and I have to micromanage smackdaddy's, it gets old....

Update - 4 weeks later: i placed another order online. I had to pay 2x extra for double pepperoni. Under notes, I stated that I have put pepperoni down here because I didn't get it the last time. I also ordered wings again and paid for extra bleu cheese. When the pizza arrived, there was not double pepperoni. I called in and spoke to the manager, and although he refunded me the money for extra pepperoni, he would not refund my money for bleu cheese, was not apologetic, and kind of a jerk.

So sorry Josh, but your customer service is the PITS. I tried to speak up as you have stated, but even your manager couldn't make it right.... Looks like I'm going to Abo's from now...

They lost my address, delivered super late. When they finally arrived, they tried to charge the wrong price. Price was fixed. We brought the pizza in to discover BOTH pizzas were very wrong! Called to get the situation corrected and they advised my credit card would be credited. 2 days later, called back (no credit)....was told to wait 3 days.....waited 3 days...called back no credit....was told to wait another 5 days. waited another week....called back (no credit on my card)....they told us WE needed to call square cash?!?!? They read off the number of the card that was credited and it was NOT our card. We asked for a food credit. Called in to use food credit, advised they were too busy to deliver pizza. They said we could maybe call back later....???? They made it VERY obvious they did not want to make food for customers. Called in another time to use food credit. The person i spoke with said he has no idea what i am talking about (not surprised). That people that work their promise people things that they arent allowed to promise so that is likely what happened...but i am ok to call back and talk to the manager/owner Called back to talk to owner/manager and she would not let me talk. She tried to explain ...i dont know what...and in the end after rudely trying to explain some credit card failure on their part, said it was a miscommunication. Well, if i was allowed to communicate without being talked down to, maybe it would have been understood.

We will never be ordering again. They must have new ownership......we used to order a lot and have never had this...

Slightly disappointed with our experience.

We placed an order for delivery to a hotel near Smack Daddy’s for dinner at 6:02 and received a confirmation from both Smack Daddy’s and Chownow after ordering directly from their website. At 7:15 our pizzas had not arrived, so I decided to call the store to check the status of the order. I was told they didn’t receive my order - even though I had a confirmation number, two emails, and they charged my card. After offering to give the order number to them twice, they asked for my name. They said they forgot to print off the order ticket and hadn’t made the pizzas. They said they could make the pizza and deliver it but weren’t sure what time. I then asked if there was anything they could do since we had been waiting for an hour and a half, and they had mistakenly not made the order. The worker replied by saying, “well, do you even want the pizza?” I replied that we did.

At 8:00 our pizzas were delivered, but the half cheese half pepperoni/green pepper pizza we ordered was not made correctly. I received an email refunding half my order.

Overall the pizza was good, and the next time we are in town we hope to give them another chance. We were disappointed with the customer service. After placing an $80+ order and waiting for two hours for our pizza, we were hoping to have our order be correct. It was nice of them to partially refund the order - though I had to ask and they initially said no - even though it was entirely their mistake.

Hoping our next experience is better! We loved the cinnamon knots! They’re...

Pretty disappointed. This used to be my top pizza place in town. It's been a bit since we've ordered from here and it's night and day different than what it was! The guy that got my order didn't say hello or anything. Looked at me like, what? The pizza boxes were covered with flour, the crust was super soft and undercooked, there was almost zero sauce on the cheese pizza, and on the verge of being burnt. How you burn the cheese with a soft undercooked dough is beyond me. Taste like burnt, doughy, cheese bread with no flavor and at a premium price with an personality of a wall serving it... Called with the complaints and got nothing but defensive excuses as if I don't know what pizza is supposed to taste like!! Only worked in pizzeria for 20 years, have taste buds, and a memory of what it was. Nothing resembling pizza. A shame what this place has become. With the terrible location, won't last long.

We love to support local businesses, and heard SmackDaddy was under new ownership so decided to give it a try. We ordered the Granddaddy pizza and the garlic/parmesan wings. They were both delicious! The dough was perfect and the pizza had just the right amount of toppings. When we arrived to pick up the pizza, I was a little surprised to see mostly teenage boys in the shop. The wings weren't quite ready, so we waited a bit. Watching them, I was amazed and pleasantly surprised at how professional and serious the boys were. The owner, Josh, arrived while we were waiting and talked with us a bit. Super nice guy! I commented on the boys and their work ethic and he said he was very intentional about giving teens a chance to work. Really great food, an amazing new owner and someone who is willing to hire local kiddos. This is a place worth supporting!

Friendly, cheap, and tasty. SmackDaddy is one of the best hidden pizza shops I've been to. Not only do they have the high care and niche flavors you expect from a hole-in-the-wall, but two other factors that I struggle to find with modern pizza spots. The ability to go above 18 inches (massive pizzas), and a full view of the kitchen as soon as you walk in. If you read a lot of my reviews (first of all how, second thanks), you know I take cleanliness very seriously in my eateries of choice. The ability to SEE how clean this place is is greatly appreciated.
