Winchell's — Restaurant in Longmont

This used to be my favorite coffee shop out of all the coffee shops in town that I frequent I was treated with kindness and fairness I was giving free coffee by the the owner who is a very good man however tonight I was treated with disrespect and loathing I spent 15 minutes charging my phone so I can transfer funds onto my card and pay for the three cups of coffee he's given to me out of the kindness of his heart. I was asked to leave for the cops would be called I begged him to let me stay he said no it broke my heart this coffee gave me reason to live every day I speak the truth about God's grace for us now he will forgive anything we do if we ask him with a honest heart to forgive us of our sins that is not a popular way of thinking in this world today I've been treated with disrespect hate and no one even knows that I've had a serious brain injury in my life and have very little cognitive skills left I will never ever ever let this world get me so down that I would even attempt suicide I want to live forever In My Father's World some people believe in me and feel I'm doing a good thing by creating a come-as-you-are culture in today's Church no perfect people are allowed if you're perfect you don't need God right? When it comes to donut shops, this Winchell's is exactly what I envision. We come in every single Saturday regardless of what we have to do and get a donut or some of the many other things they have. We are always greeted by the friendly staff and really made to feel important and appreciated as a customer.

All of the donuts and pastries I have ever had from here has always been cooked perfect and fresh. Same goes for the fresh squeezed juice that they serve in the morning. It's some of the best juice I have ever had. On top of the donuts, eclairs, bear claws and fritters, there is also a wide range of bagels, croissants, and even breakfast sandwiches that are all equally amazing.

My personal favorite is to get the turkey, ham, bacon egg and cheese sandwich on an everything bagel with avocado added. It's all made right there as you order it however you want with several options and choices on topping and sauces. I always go with the Chipotle sauce or mustard as it just ramps it all up.

While you wait for that to be cooked the gentlemen or occasional lady behind the counter will engage in the general shop conversation about your weekend and your plans and then with a smile always thanks you and looks forward to the next stop in. Although some of the employees are nice to the homeless people and allow us to be in the restaurant overnight in extreme weather conditions as long as we stay awake, there is one employee who will leave the front door wide open and does not care how cold we get since he is working at 3 ovens and stays nice and toasty warm as we all freeze. What a piece of work!! It's amazing to me how extremely inconsiderate this man is to paying customers as he also locks the bathrooms until 5am!! Has he ever been homeless himself and know that you're looked down upon for the single fact that we are homeless? We are treated like this everywhere we go!! I think it's time to boycott this place, and all places in Longmont where employees are rude and inconsiderate to the homeless, paying customers.
