As a family we decided that for Veteran's Day we would go to dinner because Applebee's honors veterans. We got seated fairly quickly for a family of six plus a child. Our waiter seemed a bit off though and very conscientious of his height. I get it, he's super tall and kind of stands out like a basketball player on a baseball field. But when you work in hospitality, you have to learn to deal with the attention and you have to develop a thicker skin to be honest. There is no shame in being tall. He also seemed very uncomfortable in his uniform. I don't know if he is new there or was just having an off night. He wasn't very friendly, never smiled, didn't thank or even acknowledge my uncle being a veteran, just kind of vacant and mechanical. We were never given glasses of ice water when we first sat down and when we placed our drink order, clearly having no glasses in front of us, our waiter still didn't bring ice water. Everyone makes mistakes but when you bring out the appetizers and one is wrong...you leave the one that is right alone, but he attempted to take both. I had ordered iced tea and asked for Splenda but never got it...the entire meal. When our food came, my son's shrimp was not as warm as it should have been despite the sizzling hot plate (he ordered the chicken and shrimp), and my wife had ordered the Oriental Chicken Salad but received no dressing, nor did it have all of the ingredients listed in the menu. The burgers were good, but the fries could have been better. We all like ranch with our fries and we asked for that when we placed our food order and didn't receive it until we were almost halfway through the meal. When the manager came around to ask how our dinner was...we politely gave her an earful and while she expressed her apologies, she was clearly shocked. We have received way better service from Applebee's in the past, but it will take some SERIOUS thought and consideration before we...
Read moreVery disappointed with experience at Applebee's in Longview, WA last night. I've been dieting and this was going to be my first night dining out since I started my diet. I chose Applebee's because I know they have options for healthier meals. I ordered the pepper crusted sirloin with whole grains and my husband ordered a sirloin steak with baked potato. My husband's baked potato was cold and he sent it back to get a hot one. His steak was Luke warm and had no flavor. My meal was tasteless and cold also. There was no flavor at all. If you closed your eyes and did not know it was steak you were eating, you would not know what this tasteless piece of meat was. My husband and I then ordered the brownie bites which was to compensate for the cold tasteless meal we just ate. When the waitress came to collect for our meal, and asked how our meal was. I told her that except for the brownie bites, the meal was disappointing. She said she was sorry and said before I cash you out, let me tell my manager. Keep in mind that I did not ask to have my meal compesated, I was just letting her know what I thought of the meal. The manager came out a few minutes later. Put my debit card and bill on the table and walked away. I looked down at the receipt and saw that she had comped the two brownie bites that were 1.49 each. It was the rudest thing I have ever had happened at a restaurant. She did not speak one word to us. Not I'm sorry you meal was disappointing and cold or I hope you come back and we can make it better next time or anything. I've never seen a manager act in that manner. My husband and I left feeling upset and...

Service was awesome, it was the end of Mother's Day and our waitress was very busy, but she still was able to check on us often and apologized for making us wait. I enjoying myself, so I didn't notice a wait. The hosts were also attentive and nice.
As for speed, we got seating right away. The appetizer and drinks came promptly, and the food was a little slow, but they were busy so totally understandable. I would rather have quality food, rather than quick.
The Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp did not look like the picture, but it was crazy delicious. I wish there were more shrimp, because they were so good. Every part of this meal was amazing, and I can't wait to have it again.
The Spinach and artichoke dip appetizer was delicious, and came with a small side of salsa that was also tasty, the only con I can think of is that it maybe needed more chips. The dip is hot, and the salsa is cold, I love it.
The White Peach Sangria, which is a mix of moscato, peach schnapps, and fruit juice, was absolutely wonderful. I could taste all the flavors, and will definitely be a repeat customer on this one. Great job guys.
The Sizzlin Butter Pecan Blondie was the most dissapointing dish I received, which I ordered to go. It tasted great, but the blondie was a little dry, it was like a piece of lightly dried out cake. The toppings made it worth it. The sugary nuts were super delicious.
The Three Cheese Chicken Penne, my husband got this, he said it was okay. It appeared a little dried out, and he's not a descriptive guy sorry. He also got a berry smoothie that...
