Xeibei Dumpling has officially landed in Silverlake! Specializing in Northwestern Chinese cuisine, their signature shaomai are a must-try. The atmosphere is casual yet modern, with an open kitchen where you can watch chefs hand-wrap each dumpling. Service is friendly and efficient, and despite the high-quality ingredients, prices are super affordable, most dishes are under $15! I tried several shaomai, and they were bigger than usual and packed with flavor. The pan-fried beef shaomai ($7.50 for 3) had a crispy edge, while the shrimp & zucchini ($7 for 3) was light and refreshing. For something heartier, the beef rice bowl ($15.25) came loaded with tender beef and steamed rice, and the crystal cold noodles ($8.75) were chewy, refreshing, and paired perfectly with sesame sauce. Quick & Simple just how I like it. Dumplings, pancakes, noodles, and warm rice stew dishes with some tea are definitely comfort food items for me and @xibei_dumplings had it all!

Authentic Northwestern Chinese food can be found at Xibei Dumplings, recently opened located in the heart of LA’s Silverlake neighborhood. Their specialties are their freshly made in-house steamed shaomai, with even a pan-fried option as well! My favorite was their chicken-mushroom flavor but there’s plenty of other options, including a veggie one💚

Their Chinese Hamburger and Veggie Crystal Noodles were both fantastic and mains that I would order again- there’s even a a better deal if you order both🙌🏼
