I’ve been coming to this location for years. Parking is hit or miss. Service has been pretty up and down. Since the cloud creams have been added to the menu service has been dicey. Matcha latte with dairy free cloud cream on top (the first 3 times), no problem. A a couple times after that it had run out. I asked if this was an item that tends to run low later in the afternoon and the answer I got back was filled with a bit of announce from the barista but okay whatever. The next time I came to order a iced matcha latte with dairy free cloud cream on top the barista started explaining to me how matcha is made, said something about using the cloud cream as the base, and overall was super condescending and rude. The way he spoke down to me was very condescending and I was embarrassed. I just left and went to order the exact same thing with zero issues at Erewhon up the street.. This is the closest Alfred to my house, so I’ll continue to come here. I just wish the service was...

Was debating whether to complain about the latte when at 5:40pm the man working in the store came out onto the terrace and started placing the chairs on the tables which made us feel unwelcome so we decided to leave.
As we left the terrace he locked the door behind us and we saw that the female barista was already sweeping up the store.
I mentioned that the latte was merely lukewarm milk and the barista said she was sorry.
Horrible unfriendly service, horrible coffee. Will never...
Read moreSmall but there. Maybe that describes you too. It's a small cube-like structure of coffee grounds, caffeine, Tiffany and her dog, and the many baristas who ply their draft for many dollars, or some dollars. A legacy of peak hipster societal influence. Your friend calls you a hipster. But you know better. You know they only know what a hipster is from that terrible 90s show, Acquaintances... But you drop it and nod your head "sure, Jan, I'm a hipster." Don't worry, I understand your pain. I do. As a mislabeled hipster I can assure any of you who visits this coffee parlor will no doubt delight in the caffeine that slaps you to life. Are the drinks here cheap? No. Are there enough seats for you and Becky to talk about Audre Lorde? No. Can you get drinks here you couldn't get from the Buck? No. But if I support Alfred am I supporting a small business? Also no. But get the coffee and...
