My partner and I recently visited Baja Catch & Grill in Culver City for Taco Tuesday dinner. We arrived about 1-2 hours before closing time and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and service.
We ordered the carnitas tacos and fish tacos, both of which were delicious and flavorful. The fish was perfectly cooked and the carnitas had a great mix of textures and spices. We also appreciated that there was outdoor seating available, which was perfect since we had our dog with us.
The atmosphere was casual and welcoming, and the service was attentive and friendly. It was clear that the staff took pride in their work and wanted us to have a great experience.
The only reason I'm not giving Baja Catch & Grill a 5-star review is because the prices were a bit on the high side, but the quality of the food and service was definitely worth it. Overall, I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try if you're in the area, especially if you're looking for a great Taco Tuesday...
Read moreThey missed an order of our fish tacos :( when we ordered 3 Baja fish tacos and 3 grilled fish tacos, think they just heard the 3 grilled. So we went home disappointed when we only got half of what we expected!
What we got: 3 grilled fish tacos (new taco Tuesday special is 3 tacos for $9.75), surf and turf burrito fish tacos better than burrito, we imagine the Baja Fresh is better than grilled ; they give you two types of salsa, the red smoky salsa complements the fish well. Green was my preferred but a tad more spicy surf and turf not worth the money; we only got 3 pieces of shrimp in our WHOLE burrito. More of a carne asada burrito w/ generous guacamole. We also got the piece of outside avocado shell
3 stars for the burrito, 4 stars for the fish tacos, 4 stars for the service, 3 for our partially missing order (we should have double checked before we left!). Not rushing to come back, but convenient spot to pick up food after airport...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I were hungry the other day and wanted to try something new. We searched around the area and found this little spot. It's appearance isn't anything special, it does look like they have events during some days of the week. It was empty when we were there and sat outside during the afternoon which was overall pleasant. The tables did look like they needed to be wiped down, but there wasn't very much staff in there to begin with. We both really enjoyed our food, getting a burrito and tacos and sharing them. The food was filling and the slaw that was in the burrito and tacos was well flavored. We also started our meal with chips and guacamole. The guacamole was fresh and the chips were hot and salty, which I also really enjoy. There was only counter service, but they were friendly. It was overall a nice place to visit and I would go back to try...
