I guess this poor choice is my own fault. On a recent trip to LA, I wanted a non-hotel breakfast. I went on line to look at menus. I was intrigued by the menu offered at Hash in Playa Vista. The menu looked extensive and they offered a Chilaquiles breakfast. I was so disappointed the last time I ordered this in a restaurant, I wanted to give it a try. So I drove over and parked in a nearly empty multi-story parking garage. I found the restaurant and discovered there was only outdoor seating. It was a nice day and I was okay with that. Normally, when I order Chilaquiles, I always ask for them with shredded chicken. If is a favorite combination of mine. So, at HASH they offer a Chiquitas & Grigos Chilaquiles dish with a protein of your choice. I asked for shredded chicken, but chicken was not a protein they served. I looked at the list of proteins and asked for the “roasted Turkey breast”. I thought that should be very similar to chicken. Boy, was I wrong! I was actually served my Chilaquiles with diced Turkey cold cuts! The interesting thing is I recall the dish was quite tasty with the tortilla chips in chili verde sauce with scrambled eggs, pickled onions and the sauces, but I could not get over the fact the roasted Turkey breast was diced deli Turkey. I did eat about half of the dish, but just avoided the diced deli meat! I was really disappointed in my decision to try the HASH restaurant due to this dish. To add further insult to injury, I could not have been there for more than 30-40 and I had to pay $6 in the mostly empty parking garage. NEVER again!

Hash Restaurant has some solid ideas and a pleasant atmosphere, but it didn’t quite deliver the full experience. The interior is stylish and comfortable, perfect for a casual brunch or laid-back dinner. The ambiance is pleasant, and the staff were polite—service was generally okay, though a few things got missed, like extra napkins or drink refills. Food-wise, some dishes stood out. The hash platter was well-seasoned and satisfying, and the avocado toast had fresh, ripe ingredients. However, other items lacked excitement—pancakes felt uninspired, and the eggs benedict was just average. Portion sizes were decent, though not generous. Pricing felt a little high compared to the overall quality. It’s not overpriced exactly, but you’re paying for the décor and location more than for standout cooking. Overall, it’s a solid option for a casual meal with friends or family. Worth trying once, but I wouldn’t consider it a must-return spot unless you’re in the mood for something reliably average. Also a really confusing situation with it being multiple restaurants at once!

This food was amazing af! My friend had wanted me to try this place out for a while now so we went. Ordered the Hash on Hash w/braised beef (huge bowl!!)… the flavor was outta this world. Idk what they used to season the grilled veggies but mannn!!! The tots inside made it have a nice crunch which I like. The carrot waffle with the cream cheese was nicceee (my friend had pineapples on her’s). I’m not big on sweets but it definitely hit the spot. I ate 1/4 of the waffle there …. But here’s the kicker ; when I ate it like a couple hrs later… it was like an explosion of sweetness in my mouth (thankfully I did take it home with me, lol)… oh, and the OJ was very very refreshing. My only thing is the parking… I guess they closed off the place where it was easy to get to the restaurant but there was parking on street. Over all, the portions were nice, the flavor was on point, and I was a happy camper on a Sunday! Definitely gonna go back!!! 👍🏾

Went here for the first time after reading many good reviews and looking at the menu. Reminder to myself : First impressions are usually right. Upon arrival my daughter and I asked to use the restroom and were directed through the kitchen to a restroom that also served as a storage room. We really should have left then, but decided to give them a chance. As we were waiting for the waiter to take our order, another family stopped by our table as they were leaving to warn us about the poor service and mediocre food. My daughter ordered the pineapple upside down pancakes which she said were good. I ordered the breakfast combo which included 2 eggs any style, tots, protein and toast. I only eat boiled eggs which I was informed are not included in the "any style", I then asked the waiter if I could substitute something for the eggs, and he replied "no". I then asked him if it would be more economical to order the items that I wanted individually, to which he replied that I could order the combo and they would subtract the cost of the eggs that I didn't want. Great ! The food came, and just as the other family described "quite mediocre" at best. The coffee I ordered never arrived, we had to ask for water three times before the waiter brought it to us. When the bill arrived, I was charged the full price of the combo and for the coffee that I never received. 15 minutes later and 3 trips back into the restaurant to correct the bill, the one and only waiter admitted that he really didn't understand the menu because it was his first day. I could never recommend this place. I gave "HASH" 1 stars because the waiter was very polite and tried to give good service, and the location is very tranquil with beautiful...

Lets just start off with saying there are no prices on the menu...Red Flag. This place has the worst customer service I have ever seen. Stood at a sign "Line forms here sign" for 5 minutes while 3 different servers walked by...didnt say hi please wait to be served, nothing not even an eye to eye contact or a simple smile. Finally I went inside and someone said we will seat you soon. After 5 more minutes and a larger line forming behind us one server asked how many...2. Another 5 minutes before we sat down. So been there 20 minutes noticed 2 women who where there since we arrived with confused looks on their faces...they still had no menus and were looking for water. So we sat next to a couple asked if it takes a long time to get food....yes very long was her response. I noticed she sent her food back..."Yes it was very greasy". Then we noticed there are no prices on the menu....thats was it for me. We left and didnt even have the food so cant coment on that. Will say one thing if you actually want to try the food do take out. There were a lot of people doing that and they were the only ones being fed. This place needs a manager that knows how to run a restaurant and staff that are quicker than a sloth and smarter than a 4 year old. Oh yeah its hidden in an industrial complex and...
