I absolutely recommend this place. The food was so good and tasted clean. The location was great and there was plenty of places to sit in or outside. We had horchata which was really good, I love that... and nachos with a cheese sauce. This was also good but the cheese was a lil too watery, it would have been better if it were slightly thicker, white cilantro rice and a guilt, was quesadilla that was sautéed mushrooms and. Egan cheeses. Here's where we ran into an issue... they brought it out... and it wasn't vegan cheese so they took it back and then it took like 45 minutes to get a replacement dish. To say I was pissed is an understatement. My group were all done when my food came out, that was not acceptable because I didn't order something complicated, it was a quesadilla... I literally watched 4 other groups that came in after us get their food and eat while I still waited. Honestly I think they forgot or something ... we had to go ask and finally got it. There was no visit from the manager apologizing, and that was sad because the food was really good but the customer service was lacking big...
Read moreOrdered via Uber Eats. Not really impressed. The Barrio beef chorizo taco was tasty. But the Barrio Carne asada taco was very disappointing. For it to be a premium taco at $5, it was supposed to be way better than the beef chorizo one. The Carne asada was dry with. Absolutely no flavor. I've had taco trucks Carne asada that taste better. But i did note the quality of the meat was premium cut. The street corn was very good and had a kick to it. The chicken soup was OK. There was not enough flavor in the broth. The chicken and corn in the soup should not flavor the broth. The most disappointing item was the guacamole. It was about $5. It was just a scoop. So the size of the guacamole compared to the amount of chips... along with the lack of flavor in the guacamole, not worth it. It tasted as if they scooped the guacamole and sprinkled lemon juice and salt on top. Chipotle guacamole tastes better. They were creative with it by adding pomegranate seeds on top. Presentation was good. Would I go back, probably for the plantain...
Read moreTocaya Organica delivers a healthy, plant-based menu with fresh ingredients, but the experience left me feeling underwhelmed for the price.
The atmosphere is bright and modern, and the staff are polite—service was average: not notably fast, but not slow either. We received our food in a reasonable time, and the staff checked in regularly, which was appreciated.
On the menu, you’ll find bowls, tacos, salads, and grain bowls with plenty of veggies and protein options. I opted for a quinoa bowl with roasted vegetables and tofu—everything tasted fresh, but the flavors felt muted and a bit bland. Portions were decent but didn’t feel especially generous.
Prices lean toward the higher side for what you get: around $15–18 for bowls that, while nutritious, didn’t offer that extra flavor punch or satisfaction.
If you’re after clean, healthy food and don’t mind paying more for it, Tocaya Organica is a reliable choice. Just don’t expect bold flavors or great value.
BTW: mexican cookie is...
