Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Los Angeles

I only come here because my Nanny loves fried chicken but the ridiculousness we went through the other night was uncalled for and made me extremely upset. Usually the guy at this particular one is cool but don’t ever in your life run out of chicken. Take my order. While I wait behind two other cars after telling me it will take 20 minutes for the chicken to cook and I wait for at least 10 to get to the window to tell me you couldn’t start cooking said chicken until I got to the window. Especially when gas is basically $7 a gallon, the location where we were waiting is extremely dark and unprotected and we’re just going to be sitting in the car. Why would you not start the chicken when you accepted my order especially knowing it’s going to take 20 minutes to cook. Then I’m told that it’s the policy because they were going to close an hour from the time I got there. If you are a chicken place and you run out of chicken bearing the end of the day but a regular customer of yours who ALWAYS gets simply a 3 piece special and is a senior citizen you should not tell them they have to wait over 30 minutes in a fast food drive thru, because you’re not allowed to start cooking until you get this $3 is poor customer service, frustrating and disrespectful to people’s time, money and possibly their health if they’re in a situation where they need to eat quickly which is the whole point of fast food isn’t it?

I was so angry we left and went to Popeyes, usually notorious for making people wait for chicken to be cooked but at least they don’t wait until you get to the window to start cooking it after they’ve already...

If I could rate this place a ZERO I would. I purchased the fish sandwich with shrimp add-on. I was really excited to try it and do my video food review. Tell me why did I have to wait 15 minutes for my order to be taken with no acknowledgment at that. Then this lady who I will post had the audacity to get an attitude with me and her coworker was going back and forth with me for me expressing my disappointment like she really didn't care because they are just all working at their own pace while YAPPING. Also when I requested tarter sauce they said they had none which confused me because I did order a fish burger that comes with that... went back and returned my food because it wasn't a happy experience and the Mgr wasn't any better no apologies for the experience and I doubt she even spoke with her employees. This place needs help.......... Two days later I get off work to go thru drive thru mind you I am there before closing the guy tells me we only have these parts of the chicken no spicy we don't have certain sides. Why won't they cook the spicy if I am waiting. This location gets business more because of Labrea being shut down the only other location that would be "close" which it is an inconvenient travel is Western. The staff here needs to be changed. Even when you walk in they never have spicy available and we have to wait 20 minutes. They have severe...

If I could give zero stars, I (would)! They can't understand what you're saying on the drive thru, . . . and, I dont usually even complain about fried chicken, but it was a considerable amount too salty. It seemed like it could have been cooked a tad more. They never have boxes for your fried chicken. It was the same no box a month ago. So don't give me that, "we're running out of them" lie. So everybody that's buying a 3 piece is always supposed to just have their fried chicken thrown into a little cellophane bag, only to get mushy and go from crispy to steamed huh. No dice. Never again. No more. And I wouldn't lie to you or on them, but right after I pulled up to the window, I could have sworn I saw one of the workers toss a piece of chicken into the batch of cooked chicken from about 6 feet away! I said to myself, 'was that a piece of fried chicken he tossed like that?!!' Do not go there! Continue down the street and find another fried chicken business.
