Happy New Year! I have put the holidays behind me and ready to return to my quest for the best fish taco. Crazy Fish is a cute counter service joint near the waterfront. Don’t let the counter service dissuade you from stopping by and trying it out. The food is as good as any sit down come wait on me restaurant. The guy at the counter was friendly and helpful. They offer a grilled, a battered, and a salmon taco offering. I asked for a recommendation, he suggested the battered. You can see from the pic, the taco plate comes with two tacos, black beans and rice. I couldn’t finish my plate. The black beans had been slow cooked to perfection. Black beans have a tendency to be bland, not these. The tacos were good. The tacos came with a fairly good size piece of fish. They were tasty, but it was more batter than fish. I try not to go to the same place twice, but I’ll gladly stop by again and try the grilled fish tacos. To round out my meal, I had a glass of freshly brewed tea. The most unique item on my taco and what makes Crazy Fish different is the Crazy Sauce. This not your typical fish taco white sauce. There’s a smoky sweetness to it. It’s their own sauce that combines typical white sauce ingredients with an Asian dressing. It is delicious! All in all, a good trip. Think I’ll go back and try their fish and chips. It’s close to the water, if you need to walk...

Poke and chips: Wow, these chips are the best tortilla chips I’ve ever had. Perfectly fried and salted. The tuna poke was fresh and flavorful. You can choose from shoyu or spicy. The shoyu marinade was very good. Enough chips to take home and snack on later.
Fish and chips: 4 pieces of perfectly fried fish in a crispy light batter. The fries were great too. Loved the tartar sauce which has a slight sweetness. Even the ketchup was good.
Grilled fish tacos: Perfectly grilled flaky fish with cabbage, tomato slices, and a white sauce. This tasted so fresh and refreshing as a balance to the fish and chips. I like the thick corn tortilla.
Cole Slaw: A great rendition with sliced fruit pieces in a traditional cabbage slaw. Sweet but not too sweet.
The service was friendly and they brought our food to the tables outside. Outdoor seating area is comfortable and shaded.
Really enjoyed everything here. They will soon be serving beer and wine. Can’t...
Read moreOk spot. Fish and chips are super oily.. they really need to tone that down, ull feel a little ill afterwards.. their coleslaw is pretty awful, if they reach out I'll have my wife share hers.. its 100 times better. Been here about 8 times now, we usually pop in for the beer battered (more like oil battered) fish and chips. About 3 dine in we asked for salt, and three times they forgot.. for just salt.
Pep up the quality a tad, get better staff service for dine ins like just a simple is everything ok, and bring salt when asked for, bottle lemon juice and malt vinegar, napkins should be laid automatically for dine ins, hasnt happened once - (staple basics).
So for now all things considered a positive 3 star, i mean they are trying but management needs to train better. Still an ok spot, inside is pretty clean and tidy...
