I want to start by saying that Andrew our server was great and very caring and seemed genuinely concerned with the TWO incidents/nightmares that we experienced at this location. First incident was unpleasant because it had to do with our food, we were not done with our food and we briefly got up to go see my son do the human claw machine and when we came back our table had been cleaned up, all of our drinks that were still full and our plates that still had large portions were all gone. How high does your IQ need to be to work as a busboy and have the common sense to ask the server... "Hey, have they paid!?" "Do you think they are done?" So, while Andrew our server was trying to figure out how to resolve the food situation, I took my son to the gaming area, however not without slipping and falling in a puddle of water the staff pour on the floor without taking precaution, no wet floor sign properly placed. Put the signs up before pouring the water! Because I'm 5 months pregnant this was a huge deal to me and my partner. I was so frustrated that on top of our food being thrown away due to poor staff training I also fell and put by baby at risk. I come back and let my husband know that I fell but I feel okay, I was just frustrated with our whole visit, first visit at that, and last. My husband approached the AREA MANAGER JP as he's standing and blowing the wet area that I had fallen on and was bothered that my husband approached him about me falling, his attitude, lack of concern and lack of sympathy was mind blowing. He simply just didn't care that a pregnant woman had just fallen at his location. Zero concern for my unborn child. His energy was pure misery. Not once did he asked if I was okay or needed anything, not even water. This is not even were it ends but too long to write! Just know that JP never said anything to me, however I did hear when he yelled at my husband "You are not going to tell me how to do my job!!!" but obviously someone does need to teach him how to address unfortunate situations that happen under his supervision. He first said he didn't even know I had slipped and fallen. How are you the manager in charge and not know someone just fell on the same area you are blowing to dry. It's very obvious this location lacks training. Andrew was just raised right, because he was the only one that seemed to take pride on what he does and was very concerned for my unborn child and very apologetic. He comped our food we didn't get to finish and I hope he didn't get in trouble for it. Because what he deserves is a raise/promotion. Maybe JP is related to the owner and thinks he can mistreat people, I'm sure he's also a jerk to the employees, it's sad because I'm sure the owner wouldn't have someone in charge that has no concern for the company he works for, someone that doesn't care to protect his place of employment from bad reviews, disappointed customers, and lawsuits. But please review your cameras so you can see that what I'm saying is the true. This happened last night 9/21 from 8pm-9:40pm. I'm sure JP is going to take no responsibility for his poor unprofessional behavior and will convince his superior that he did nothing wrong, last minute he called 911, I guess with that he thinks he will cover his poor judgement. I left the location with a high blood pressure of 160/98, and that was all due to JP. A little sympathy and compassion would have gone a long way, but I guess they don't teach you that at Dave & Buster's academy. Please ask your employees how they really feel about JP. Let's also hope my baby remains okay the next few days. Also, the other manager Mario tried to help but he didn't say much seemed scared of JP. So, he was pretty much useless. Please also note that JP was very confrontational with my husband and even made contact with him in a very malicious way, but you'll be able to see that on the videos. What was supposed to be a nice night with our son turned out to...
Read morefirst off only the greeters at the front of the entrance and i guess she would be called the seater were the only ones who were really pleasant. i had a large group of people that were to meet me at D&B for a get together for my daughter having a baby. I got there when the doors opened at 11:00 am to kinda save and area so our party could sit together we were all to meet up at 2:00. so mind you I spoke to one of the coordinators about a week before and a manager when i walked in and told them i would be expecting about 30 people or more so i had plastic table cloths and very small table cloths set where we were to meet and a few balloons. my problem came in when one of the front greeters walked me to the back by the bar area and should me a spot the would be perfect for us which was a great spot. s she left me so i stared to put down my things and i was approached by one of the waitress who worked that area so i greeted her in a friendly manner as i did the ladies up front but from the go she did not have a friendly bone in her at all so as i was setting up she approached me again and said i need to ask my manager if you can hold these tables so i said i spoke to a manager so she said she wasn't a manager so she left and came back and said she said it was fine. so i continued to set up so my sister and i see the all the waitress and waiters were gathered around in a circle looking our way talking so i continued setting up then i heard one of them blurt out they better clean up so i kept do what i was doing . so then another waitress walked over mind you its about 7 people that worked that bar area the only one that was friendly was one of the boys serving and one. bar tender. So i was told if any other parties come in that we may have to give up a table if our party is not there which was fair i said okay it happened that we did wind up giving up a couple of tables. so finally my whole party showed up not at the same time but we had a party of almost 50 people and everyone of them had the same complaint the waitress and the service is horrible the attitudes of them runs away anyone wanting to come back the whole time we were there we had to go look for our waitress or go to the bar and order a drink to get it faster. The next day i was out i meet this family who said they had been to the Culver city D&B with the same complaints. we were not rude or causing any problems never at anytime we were ask to leave. I just think the staff needs to have better training on costumer service we even spoke to one of the head managers nothing changed though out the time we were there. you probably ask why i didn't book a room and the reason is people don't come in at the same time and they want stay in there the whole time the bar area is a very nice setting. the waitresses could have made alot of tips BUT they were not friendly our helpful one kept her head down on the desk by the bar or table what ever it was on her cell phone with the ear piece in her ear never came to check...
Read moreAll that could go wrong certainly came to fruition. My family and I took my niece and nephew here to celebrate their graduation from Preschool. We came around 12:15pm and didn’t leave til about 2:46pm all this time WE WERE WAITING FOR FOOD, not playing games and having a good time but waiting on our meals…
Let me begin this terrible tale
1st incident- It was open seating but since we had a larger party (3 babies, 6 adults) we were limited in seating choices. We picked the high standing booths which appeared to be the only option but ran into a multitude of problems when it came to the 2 year old and the two 4 year old at the table. We soon found out these high standing booths were death traps for the kids as they kept falling down beneath the table. Luckily no of the children were severely injured but we decided to seat elsewhere.
2nd incident- When we were looking for seating we were rudely redirected by one of the waiter who told us the area we tried to find refuge from the high top booths wasn’t open seating and we had to find another place to sit….I told him the issue and he informed us there was more seating further back that was open. FINE, but please realize this place is incredibly large in size and not enough employees to man the floor in case people have questions. We needed assistance in finding a safer area to eat and received incredibly poor customer service.
3rd incident- We ordered meals for the children first back at the death trap booth and when we arrived to our new seats we informed our waitress of the change so she could redirect the food to our new location. About 10 mins later the food arrived minus one order. We asked the waitress where the other meal was and she went to see what the holdup was. When she returned she said since we changed seats the servers got confused and that’s why we didn’t have our complete order. We asked her how a change in seating could result in an order not being placed and felt offended by the accusation that her negligence was due to our discomfort and fear for the safety of the kids in attendance.
(at this point my I’m not annoyed, but trying to have patience with the situation. Our waitress was nice but my niece was upset she couldn’t eat while the other kids at the table gleefully enjoyed their meals.
4th incident- At this point we still haven’t placed an order for the adult meals and I am STARVING. Our waitress finally comes back after what seems like an eternity and takes our order. And it took about an hour before we received our meals. We were at the point of getting up and walking away until we reminded our waitress we still haven’t received our food and she brought it out shortly after. I have the time stamp on my phone and we were there for over 2.5 hours dealing with the inadequacies of this establishment.
The manager did give my sister a couple of play cards for the kids because of the whole food mix up but it wasn’t enough for me to want to come back and experience this nightmare.
AND they...
