We were on the way home from Super Walmart at about 11:15pm with $200 in groceries, and haden't even had time to eat dinner, so as we drove down Corbin we decided to stop at Del Taco and pick up a couple small items we could eat on the way home. As I am alergic to tomatoes, I ordered a "Big Fat Chicken Taco" NO TOMATOES, NO RED SAUSE, but add the secret sause (white sause), and a "Cheddar Quesidilla". Suprise Suprise..... Our order was completely wrong! Our Big Fat Taco had the regular red sause, but they were kind enough to leave off the tomatoes and put NO CHEESE on it at all, so we were left with a Taco with red sause, chicken, and lettuce! Making matters worse, they charged us for the Quesidilla, but it was some tiny little small tortilla, yet we paid for the regular one! So my husband ate the TWO-BITE Quesidilla, and I had a few bites of a Big Fat Chicken Taco which was stuffed with lettuce! I should have climbed into the back of our SUV and gotten the Ranch dressing I had just purchased at Walmart and had a salad! Maybe they should hire employee's that actually speak English and the orders would come out right! What a waste of time and money, and it wasen't even worth going back since we live in Canoga Park and were only in the area because our Walmart dosen't carry food items! We'll never go back to Del Taco again, and anyone that does should check their order before even moving from that drive thru window! If my husband had taken the first bite of that Taco with the red sause, we'd have been spending the night in the...
Read moreI just left Del Taco. I had gone through the drive-through. I ordered 3 beef tacos and a beef nachos. The guy at the window handed me two bags. I drove a little ways away to pull out one taco so I could start eating it in the car. I discovered that I only had 2 and not 3 tacos. I drove back through and finally got back to the speaker. Told him that I was Order #33 and I had only gotten 2 tacos. He immediately said "I put 3 tacos in your bag!" He argued with me and insisted that he had put 3 in.
I drove all the way around, parked and took my order in where arrogantly he tells me again that he put 3 in. I just stood there as he waited on other people. I did notice that there was a small package sitting on a stainless steel counter all alone. Finally another guy walked over and picked up the lone package and called my guy over. He handled him the package said something to him. My guy stood there holding it for a moment then turned and walked over to me. He handed me the package and said "here is your taco." No apology for all the hassle that he had caused me at all! I grabbed it and just walked out.
Lesson learned. I will always check my orders before I drive away from the windows or walk away from...
Read moreI was treated like a vagrant. I simply entered and sat down and began to download their advertised add as instructed and next thing I know I'm being sequestered as if I didn't belong. Quite a disconcerting experience especially due to the non warranted act coming just after I clearly and happily explained that I was excited to be downloading the new app and would be ordering dinner for my entire staff today. It wasn't even a Manager it appeared to be a very loud, flamboyant and highly disregarding of his conduct and zero conscienceness to being a manager or employee with customer satisfaction on the mind. He was extremely defaming to myself as, first, a human and second a coveted consumer and business owner, entertainer, life coach, NAACP nominee and Man of God. I believe not only was this a careless mistake but also an extremely defaming error to boot. I probably will never enter a del taco dining room or drive through again unless there is an example made with amicable compensations. SAD DAY FOR DEL TACO. Shame on the young man who stood over me like a tyrant while boisterously telling me to leave as I was downloading the app and attempting to order food...
