First time experience:
Absolutely mind blown with the flavours and hospitality worth revisiting ! Funny enough, my Aussie/American friend introduced me to this ‘sit-on-the-floor’ (or the tables!) kinda home away from home. The food is great, everybody including the owner (brother’s brother!) are kind, generous and respectful.
new Today’s lunch visit:
Stark opposite experience. Service was below subpar.
Missing condiments, Careless attitudes, Negligence, Bland food, missing order specifications even after a reminder . And then the victim look on the waiter’s face when I asked for pickles with aloo patatha (it’s a standard to include pickle and raita)
Even something as obvious as red onion in sev poori was denied to me right at the table when I could see freshly chopped onions in the dish right in front of me!! And upon eves dropping our table discussion of my shock at how quickly he said no! In a commercial kitchen they ran out of onions??? And he just placed the order right when I asked ?! That’s deliberate because guess what a whole bowl of it arrives next minute! Then with the tea; I have sore throat and I wanted more masala added .. he made a bland thick milk tea .. then kitchen closed so I asked for a bit of the powder with side of hot water to balance it and manage even then he got me loose tea !! And said they don’t have masala??? What? Then he went and got it when I was asked with disbelief .
Now, i look like the annoying negative person complaining ! Even though I did say that only today the service isn’t great. My friend was embarrassed that I said anything at all . I was supposed to keep quiet and eat whatever I served and pretend to enjoy superficial conversations and pay for it with tip? Force myself to be ok with poor service and reward it otherwise I am the bad guy?????
Not gona condone that behaviour . Don’t care if it makes me a villain . Don’t force your western cowardice to lower my standards . And do not play me for a fool. Too many good people are quiet while the depressing ones fill the void with deafening silence we all grapple with in isolation.
This is another level of control! How is one expected to be independent in a free country if they spend their time, energy, hard earned money on food that you can’t enjoy with people who will abandon you if you speak up for yourself.. it’s become a theme. And yes, if I am invited at someone’s residence, then even boiled rice will be appreciated deeply.
But not an establishment existing purely to make money in exchange for the promised quality of service.
Kinda wanna sign off with JAI HIND!
Seriously! Soooo Over paying hard-earned money to adapt a superficial “like me” submissive expectation or fear isolation! Funny thing is, I like my company, I am super nice until I am forced to change myself to cater to anybody else’s whim.
Yes it’s personal.
Thank you for...
Read moreI had the absolute pleasure of dining at Electric Karma last night, and I must say, it was truly an unforgettable experience! From the moment we stepped through the doors, we were greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere that immediately put us at ease.
Lucky (Lakhvir Singh) the owner of the restaurant is so generous and had a personal touch with everything be it food, be it customer satisfaction etc. Kudos to uncle for running this restaurant business for 35 years.
The décor was stylish and sophisticated, with elegant lighting and plush furnishings that added to the upscale ambiance. But what truly stole the show was the exceptional service so attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure that our every need was met.
And then, of course, there was the food - oh, the glorious food! Each dish was expertly crafted and presented with flair, with flavors that danced on the palate and left us wanting more. From the succulent appetizers to the decadent entree, every bite was a masterclass in culinary excellence.
But what truly sets Electric Karma apart is its commitment to using only the freshest, highest-quality ingredients, sourced locally whenever possible. You can taste the difference in every dish, and it's clear that the chefs are passionate about creating a truly memorable dining experience.

Read moreI visited this restaurant yesterday with my family seeing very good reviews in google. To my disappointment, all 5 stars reviews seem fake. It starts from the very beginning we entered the premises. None guided us to be seated there. We sit ourselves in a corner. Two server boys did not greet nor took us to the table. Once we are in the seat, we did not receive menu nor glass of water for long time. I had to ask water myself. To my surprise, a man asked instead “how many”? Of course we need the same number of glass of water as the number of guests. If the restaurant was too busy, it would be considered . But just two tables were occupied with guests. We ordered foods, and a cup of tea. The waiter brought a cup of tea but tea was cold. When I told him to make tea hot, the person shrunk his face with unwillingness. Finally food arrived. The taste was flat. Chat was pretty good though. Butter Nan arrived burnt. I told the waitress the nan is burnt. His answer was as such as if we do not know how butter Nan looks like and how it should be. His answer “it is like this” made us more disappointed. He behaved us as if we are new to this kind of food. We have visited thousands of Nepali Indian restaurants. Butter Nan should be soft ,but it arrived hard and burnt. The waiter even did not say a single word “Sorry”. Instead he simply told “it is like this”. The food tastes and service is...
