Fat Tomato Pizza La Cienega — Restaurant in Los Angeles

DO NOT GO. SCAM!! I went to Fat Tomato on 11/3/24 around 7:30pm excited to try the new pizza place in the neighborhood. Once I walked in, no one greeted me and no one was dining in the restaurant. I figured they were working in back since no one was working there currently and ordered at the kiosk. After about 5 minutes, a worker comes in the front door and someone else (clearly not a worker) came in with him. They were yelling at each other in a language that I was not familiar with so I’m not sure what was being said. The worker told us he would be with us soon. The yelling and walking around continued for another 5 mins. Then the worker said “I’m sorry I cannot make your pizza. Come back another time” I asked him for a refund and he clearly did not know how to work the computer system. For 10 mins he kept giving me receipts for orders that were not mine. While this was happening, someone from a delivery company came in for their order and the man sent them away too, told them to cancel the order. I finally got a receipt showing a refund but no refund has been processed on my credit card. I’ve called the business 3 times to inquire about my refund and no one has responded.

My assumption is that this is some money laundering scheme or sham storefront. Save your money and go elsewhere!!! Prime pizza and Apollonia’s are local businesses close by with ethical business practices and amazing...

Ive ordered postmates a few times. A little pricey for the size. I Live close the location. This place is overall slow. Pizza needs to be cooked a little longer in general as the center is soggy esp for a delivery order. Needs to be more crispy. My order was given incorrectly to the wrong driver so had to wait an hour for my pizza a few blocks away. Work on getting it together over...

Pizza was great, cheese and sauce were fresh, meat and crust was top notch. Atmosphere inside is really nice with classic booths. My slices were made to order and were ready quickly. I got a chance to meet Sue as well and she is very friendly and nice.

I’ve been waiting for a good pizza shop to open around here and I’ll say Fat Tomato checks all the boxes! Will be returning...
