I do not recommend ordering catering from this place. I had a lunchtime event about two weeks ago, and honestly, I should have realized from the very first phone call that I was dealing with unprofessional service.
The ordering process was full of mistakes over the phone until I had to go through every single item one by one so they could even understand what I was asking for.
On the day of the event, the food arrived almost an hour late. When it finally came, it was in terrible condition. I ordered 4 salads, but they arrived limp and tired, as if they had been prepared days earlier. I ordered a variety of quiches but only received one kind. They insisted they had delivered two types, but that was simply not true. The desserts I ordered were completely ruined during delivery.
To be fair, the delivery person was polite and even told me he had contacted the catering company to arrange a refund for the desserts and sent them photos. But then I was told I had to send photos myself to “prove it.” Eventually, I was refunded for the desserts, but the lack of accountability was very disappointing.
Overall, the service was terrible, the food was not fresh or tasty, and the quality was far below what I paid for. They even decided for me which quiches to send, and my desserts went straight into the trash.
I paid a significant amount of money and did not get value in return. Between the poor service and the lack of quality, I cannot recommend this catering company at all.
After posting my review, the owner called me not to apologize, but to explain for 10 minutes that since she refunded me for the ruined desserts, she didn’t understand why I was unhappy. But the reality is the food was poor quality, arrived an hour late, the salads were limp, the quiches were not what I ordered, and I was left hosting an event...
Read moreAn amazing kosher one stop shop for all baked goods, coffees and brunch items! Delice Bakery is beyond OVER THE TOP and I regret not being able to give a 10 STAR review! They have a vast and insane menu ranging from delicious pastries to breads, to an entire breakfast menu, to a large coffee bar. The owner is such a nice charismatic sweet lady and such a pleasure to interact with- she was soo nice and patient and is just such a beautiful person inside and out. I ordered the huge strawberry macaron with a delicious custard and white chocolate inside with fresh strawberries all around which was beyond delicious and immaculate! It was also gluten free- which is so awesome! The shakshuka was fire and the baguettes the serve are soo fresh!! The lattes were divine and we even got a chocolate croissant that was out of this world!!! We were also able to buy sandwiches to take to the airport that are generously portioned and decently priced!! The pizza slice I got was like a blissful taste of Italy 🇮🇹. I even got to meet the owner herself and told her that we just had to stop by her bakery, before flying back to NY. Upon conversing with her, I mentioned that I absolutely LOVE macarons and I never had one like that before and it was incredible and beyond amazing. She thanked me, went to assist other customers, and then came back and surprised me with a gorgeous box of macarons to take with me to the airport!! I’m so grateful to have met such a gem and wonderful woman and am so honored that I got to eat there and support her business. Most pastries and items in the store are gluten free and dairy free. Legit coming back to LA...
Read moreDelice Bakery goes well beyond just kosher pastries. I just had the most wonderful celebration in my home that Delice catered for the occasion. I met with Dallia two days before and we prepared the perfect light dinner for my 20-25 guests. I went with handcut sandwiches (Tunisian with harisa cucumber and caper, salmon with dill, and min-caprese) half on baguette and half as mini-navettes that were plentiful and quickly gobbled. The menu also included delicious mini egg salad croissant sandwiches that went fast, too. I also put out a fragrant and very flavorful Mediterranean salad with greens, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, kalamata olive, feta cheese and sliced almonds with balsamic vinaigrette. And what's an occasion without cut fruit--fresh and bountiful and beautifully served on a large platter--strawberries, blueberry's watermelon, cantelope, orange slices! And finally, the pièce de résistance, was a Delice specialty cake and top seller--1/4 sheet Napoleon--and hear this, the portraits of the honored guests were scanned onto the caramelized nougatine top layer and fused with 3 layers of chocolate sponge alternating with chocolate mouse. Two pounds of assorted cookies followed and the celebration and feast was over by 11pm. No photos of the trays--I wasn't fast enough; but a nice photo of the cake at time of presentation. Thank you Dallia and Fabrice for a sensational catering effort. Kindest regards, Rick...
