HHD(Heuk Hwa Dang) — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Where to begin... Can't write this place off, but this is my second time at Heuk Hwa Dang, and it's been a mixed experience both times. Starting out with the positives, the interior is super clean and very cute. You can tell that a lot of time was put into make the interior very aesthetic. The best food item that I've had is the brown sugar boba ice cream. It tastes just like it's drink counterpart and the ice cream is smooth and creamy. Parking is also plentiful since it's located in Madang Plaza.

Now to the negatives... Since it's such a young cafe, the quality of some of the food items definitely need some tweaking and improvement. The mango ice cream, while it tasted okay, didn't have any real mangos in it. The Espresso Bubble Ice Cream needed to be much sweeter, and the Fruit Flower Tea had way too much going on in it. Can't talk about everything that I've tried, but my point is that all of these items are just one step away from...

This was the worst service I have ever had. Came together with my family, and I went to this store with my sister. First of all, the kiosk was lagging, and although we paid we didn’t know if the payment went through because the machine was still asking us to pay. We asked the employees for help, and they asked if there was any way to check if the payment went through and kind of just left us hanging. My dad was offering to pay, so at the time we had his card so we had no way of checking so I had to run all the way to where he was and come back to show proof. I don’t understand why I had to do this and why they couldn’t check themselves. Not only that, our order took at least twenty minutes. No apologies, and no respect whatsoever. I understand this wasn’t their fault, but an apology would have been nice considering the fact that they just left us hanging and our order took a long time. Came here after a late lunch with a friend because we were craving something sweet. She got the assam black milk tea and I got the aurora lemon lychee drink. Both drinks not very strong in flavor, and honestly a little bland. The prices were not cheap either, so kind of disappointed.

Opted for the strawberry croffle, which looked great but definitely wasnt worth $12 or so. The croffle was a little soggy and not as flaky as we wanted it to be, and there was maybe half a strawberry cut up on top with black sugar syrup.

The staff were great and very helpful, and the interior is nice (if not kind of damaged and falling apart in some places) but outside of the aesthetic, there are much better options for drinks and...
