Me and my partner were in the area running errands and I decided to look up spots nearby that were serving breakfast/lunch and stumbled across this place. As others have mentioned - it is definitely called 'Hideout Café' for a reason - as it is nestled towards the back of the building complex. I was grateful that the café had signs set up that clearly pointed where to go and directed me there without having to look too hard to find it!
Once we arrived - we noticed there was plenty of ample seating outside as well as a couple tables inside if we wanted to stay a bit warmer (it's starting to be chilly outside!) There were printable menus on display at the front that we could take a look at and review before we decided to place our order at the counter. (you place it here and they give you a number and bring the food/drink to the table). The service was super positive and friendly - the man who greeted us and took our order was very nice and continued to check on us throughout our entire visit and ensuring everything was up to standard.
Regarding the food - it came out pretty quick (within 10 mins) after we ordered it. Just as a heads up - for soft drinks, they only offer cans (as opposed to fountain - so no free refills). I ordered the Hideout Breakfast Burrito (I got it with bacon) with a side of white toast. The toast was freshly hot and they provided ample butter and jelly. The breakfast burrito itself was a very generous portion size. Flavorwise - it didn't have a ton of seasoning, so I did rely on the salsa/pico de gallo (which tasted freshly made, big plus!) to enhance the flavor. My partner got the Circolo Panini (Turkey) which came with two sides (he got bowtie pasta and Kale salad). He stated the flavors were all very rich and the turkey was flavorful and juicy and the sides were great and healthy options that he appreciated. (Was starving so totally forgot to take pictures!)
Overall - I would say I liked the meal, but appreciated the service even more. It's nice to have great customer service and feel valued as a customer. Would come back again to try some of the other menu...
Read moreI went with a friend for the first time this past weekend and thought I'd share my thoughts.
Staff and Atmosphere: We were immediately greeted when we walked in. We were given a menu as soon as we approached the counter. We sat down outside to look at the menu and chit chat. We returned inside once we decided. The cashier was friendly and mentioned they were offering affogato on the house, which we happily accepted. We sat outside because the entire area is in the shade and the weather was perfect for outdoor seating. The same employee came to check on us a couple more times, which was appreciated.
Drink & Food: I ordered the breakfast plate and thought it was tasty. They cooked my eggs and bacon exactly how I like it. It came with a side of fruit that tasted fresh. My friend ordered the ricotta pancakes and enjoyed it as well. My only suggestion would be to make the pancakes a little fluffier. I ordered a green juice, which tasted how I thought it would, fresh and earthy. It came in a bottle, which was convenient because I took the rest home. The mango smoothie tasted fresh and sweet, not artificial. The affogato was delicious!
Parking: There is underground/lower level parking, but I'm not sure how much it is or if they validate. I found parking on the street, but the meter only allows for 1 hour parking. I saw 4 or 5 meters designated for EV parking only, but I didn't see any EV charging stations nearby.
Final thoughts: While I do think the menu items are on the pricier side, I would likely return based on the quality of food and service. The cafe is in a building surrounded by offices, and I think it's main intention is to be a convenient food option to employees and visitors...
