To be honest, given reviews and pricing, was expecting a superior experience in terms of the sound bath salt room experience Saturday evenings.
The pricing is $50. What you get for that is an ongoing onslaught of emails and texts leading up to an appointment. I got no less than 14 reminders in the six days. Every time I got one I couldn’t help but wonder why ownership was so deeply concerned that every six hours I’m reminded of some thing a week away. (AND on top of marketing more events!) You have to pay in advance, so not sure what the concern was. It was annoying. Consider toning down the number of reminders you send patrons.
When you get there you’re greeted solicitously by the husband and wife owners. To say they’re friendly would be an understatement. My friend and I were there to relax for what is supposed to be a meditative and soothing experience – but you’re crammed into a long, noisy, narrow hallway, and encouraged to take a look at all of the “shopping” in the store.
Then there’s the salt cave. It was beautiful, and had people been speaking in hushed tones respectful of the spirit of the experience, we might’ve enjoyed a relaxing hour. Instead, the guests were not reminded to speak respectfully and the lady running the soundbath, spoke loudly, with chatty conversation. The actual time with bowls logged in at 45 minutes – ending on a sour note encouraging us AGAIN to take a look at all the “shopping” in store, “beautifully curated” by owners.
Again, it is supposed to be a soothing, holistic experience. With the crowdedness, and level of noise ownership not only encourages but participates in, we couldn’t wait to get out of there.
The idea is a beautiful one, and no doubt ownership is thriving given a number of their regular patrons aren’t aware of what a proper salt Experience could, and should feel like.
But if they’re trying to attract a new wave of clientele, they might consider encouraging everyone in their small store to speak in soft tones for the experience.
A few key notes to ownership: given the weather was close to 100°, it was ludicrous we weren’t allowed to bring water in tightly fastened sports thermoses into a dehydrating salt cave. They were so concerned with water spilling on their precious Himalayan salt floor. everyone was told to leave water outside the salt cave for the 45 to 50 minutes! That’s not only counterintuitive but dangerous. Every salt cave I’ve ever been in (over 10.around the world) has encouraged people bringing water in with them because it’s dehydrating. It felt stingy and greedy and very wrong considering again that the valley that they proudly have in their title was running close to 100° that day. It would kill you to replace a little Himalayan salt given how many people are treading over it every single day? And given most of your patrons are over the age of 45 and the weather is close to 100°? Dangerous.
Also, you’re forced to walk barefoot on the hard Himalayan salt pebbles – I was afraid I was going to cut the bottom of my feet – it would be nice if they provided sandals like every other spa in existence - or lend returnable socks along with the blankets.
The other weird thing was given the way the crystal bowls were set up, we were forced to walk on the periphery of all the chairs that were tucked in close to the walls – I was literally bracing myself up against the walls of the cave.- Because the bowl technician was so afraid somebody would accidentally step on one of her bowl set up throughout the room. Again, it was just very odd feeling that they were so nervous for their Himalayan salt and the crystal bowls, human beings were forced to be dehydrated and uncomfortable... wrong vibe.
There’s FAR more relaxing, healthy ways to use that $50 – I suggest the new Salt Rooms in Sherman Oaks with its infrared saunas and private salt room experience. And yes, they encourage you to bring water into the room with you, despite also having Himalayan salt all over the floor – they know that’s the healthier option especially during...

Okay everybody, listen up. Valley Salt Cave is the real deal. A friend of mine who’s a doctor recommended it, and then I saw Tisha Campbell talking about salt caves, so I finally said, “Alright, let me see what all the hype is about.” And wow, I’m glad I did.
From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warmth. The space feels spotless and professional, but once you step into the actual cave, it’s like you’ve entered a whole new world. It is peaceful, calming, and honestly magical. Within just a few minutes I was knocked out in the most restful sleep I’ve had in ages. I woke up feeling lighter, breathing easier, and more relaxed than I’ve been in a long time.
Now, I can’t claim to know all the science behind it since I literally just finished my session, but I can tell you this. It works. Whether it’s clearing your head, calming your nerves, or just giving your body a reset, the experience is unlike anything else. It’s not about curing anything, but it definitely feels like your body and mind get a gentle boost toward healing.
Honestly, don’t just take my word for it. Go try it for yourself. If you’ve been curious, stop waiting. This is one of those things you have to experience to understand. Valley Salt Cave gets 5 stars from me without question. You will walk in stressed and walk out feeling like you just...
Read moreI purposely waited a few days 🗓️ before reviewing the Valley Salt cave... Why? It is because I wanted to see if there was a positive effect on my dearest friend who I brought here to help improve her congestion due to a second battle with Covid. 😷
I am so happy to report that our visit really made a noticeable difference in her recovery! 🌈🌞
Without grossing everyone out, she told me that her mucus was much thinner and easier to expel after being in the Salt cave.
She is feeling much improved! 🎊
I also have to mention that the owners, Warren and Kari were wonderful. 👍
I spoke to Kari on the phone ☎️ when I made the appointment and she was so kind and patient and answered all my questions.
When we arrived we were greeted by Warren who was so welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. He made our experience even greater. 👍
I do need to mention that we were a party of five 🖐️ and had our own private room. The other four of us did not suffer from any respiratory problems, however, we all decided that we felt energized and better after being in the Salt cave. 💯
So, as you can easily tell, I would highly recommend 🧂Valley Salt Cave and we will be going back for...
