Unique and delicious ice cream. They make the ice cream in front of you by pouring sweet milk on a freezer board and mixing in ingredients! I’d never seen this done before in real life. I’d only seen it before on YouTube and I thought you could only find this kind of ice cream in Japan or South Korea, but as it turns out I could get this ice cream right down the street from where I live! The flavors they offer are really unique and fun. I ordered the strawberry because I love strawberry flavored everything. Right now I have a sort of obsession with strawberries and cream desserts. The ice cream makers spread out the cream on the cold surface and then mix it with your choice of flavor and roll the ice cream into those “ice cream roses” and then they put toppings on top with stuff like fresh whipped cream, marshmallows, graham cracker crumbles and animal crackers. It’s a super fun experience and they have vegan options. They have a working restroom that’s very clean and nice to use. The parking is limited to the small lot in front and then the infamously terrible parking of koreatown. Shutter Holy Roly Ice Cream is always busy and very popular as it should be because it’s a great spot! It’s located in a restaurant heavy strip mall with a boba place and a bunch of other bowyer Korean cuisine in the area including a lot of famous Korean bbq spots and unique dessert restaurants, so If one person in your party wants ice cream and another person wants a piece of cake, if you come to this mall you can find it all. The store of Holy Roly Ice Cream is well kept and nice. The staff is young and vibrant but not extremely friendly or helpful I found. Maybe it was a bad day for the woman who served me but when I asked her a question she snapped back at me like I was a hideous alien 👽 I didn’t understand why for I am a paying tipping customer. If she was nicer I woulda given this place a...

Delicious ice cream! I don't eat sweets often but when I get cravings I want something that is great and Holy Roly didn't disappoint!

Line can sometimes get long but it moves pretty quickly considering everything is made to order. We waited around 10 min in line, and another 10 min to get our order.

Menu availability changes often depending on ingredients avail so check out the menu by the register to see what items have been crossed off. They should post this outside as well so everyone can see before they enter while they wait and not have to make order changes at the register last minute. This seemed to hold up the line a bit when I was there.

Also, their website offerings and what was being offered in store seemed to differ a bit (out of season items / options, etc). They may want to update that.

Otherwise, this spot is up there with the other specialty ice cream spots in the area and worth trying out esp with the summer months ahead!

Valet parking is available and can get a bit crazy on weekends or busy nights but if you are getting ice cream to go they'll let you temporarily...

Ehh, my experience here was okay. Not bad, just okay. I wasn't aware that this ice cream was "rolled", but that was my fault, I should've read the description. I just searched "ice cream near me" and this place popped up. So, anyway, I got the vegan matcha ice cream flavor. The "rolls" were rock solid, so I got hard, broken pieces of ice cream. Not fun or pleasant to eat. The matcha flavor was interesting. This was my first time ever trying "matcha" flavor anything, so it was interesting to taste. It is not too sweet, which was nice. Once the ice cream melted, the consistency was nice. Not "sorbet" ish or watery, but nice and creamy. Sometimes with vegan ice cream it is hard to get the consistency right. This was great. What annoyed me the most was the $3 parking just to go get ice cream. I'm not sure if this is a new thing there, but that's just crazy. I'm not from LA, so I wouldn't know. The ice cream was pretty good, my experience was not bad. I just don't think this ice cream is worth the drive and $3 parking. I've had better vegan ice cream...

Average rolled ice cream that is overhyped. Since this is the only rolled ice cream place in ktown, I think many people find it to be special but it’s nothing special compared to other rolled ice cream from other places. I got special Nutella one which was $11 (before tax) and it came with 7 rolls of ice creams, hazel nuts, whipped cream, pocky stick, Nutella drizzle and a marshmallow. I loved the variety of toppings they offered but the base ice cream itself was pretty light which people may prefer as it wasn’t overly sweet. They offer a “kids” size for about $3 cheaper but it’s a good size even for a single adult. I think $11 for a rolled ice cream is overpriced. The regular size is big enough to be shared. The location has very limited seating, valet parking (you can do a quick 5min pickup).

What kind of magical place makes ice cream right in front of you? I don’t know who invented it, but I owe them my life. So there I was, fully committed — basking in the chilly glory, eyes wide as they poured, chopped, and rolled my dessert dreams into reality. Sweet cream? Divine. I inhaled those iced cookies like it was a competitive sport. Watching them fold in the fruits and hazelnuts? Straight-up dessert theater. And when that first spoonful hit my tongue — baby, I was gone. My taste buds were skiing down flavor-packed alps while my brain forgot what I even ordered. (Chocolate? Hazelnut? Heaven? All of the above?) Let’s just say: the rolls were holy, the name Holy Roly is earned, and I’m already plotting my next visit. Cold. Crunchy. Creamy. Spiritual.
