Read moreYeoGiYo is a small, casual Korean spot in the heart of K-Town, sharing its corner with about 5 other similar-sized local spots. The restaurant has around 8 tables and ~26 seats, creating a cozy, no-frills atmosphere. There’s a parking lot out front that seems to operate with valet service, though it doesn’t appear directly tied to the restaurant. We came by public transport, and it was easy to reach.
We chose YeoGiYo based on strong reviews. We ordered the Bibimbap Vege Stone Pot (B04)—a standout dish I’d recommend even to meat eaters. It’s built on a base of white rice that crisps up nicely at the bottom over time bc of the heat of the hot pot, topped with fresh vegetables and a flavorful sauce on the side. Overall a great dish. One small point to note: it’s labeled as vegan, but it clearly comes with an egg on top, so it should be considered vegetarian instead.
Also we had S05 Pork Tuna Kimchi Stew, which had a solid, hearty flavor. That said, it’s very tuna-forward which tastes quite similar to canned tuna when cooked, something to be aware of depending on your preference.
All main dishes come with traditional Korean side dishes at no extra cost, which we really appreciated. The service was friendly, and the food arrived without a long wait. Another small plus: they serve filtered water, which I personally value.
Overall, price-to-quality ratio is really good. I’d definitely return for the authentic flavors and satisfying portions; though next time, we would opt for a different dish...
Read moreI’m writing to express my disappointment after dining at your restaurant today. About an hour after I got home, I experienced cold sweats, stomach cramps, nausea, and several bouts of diarrhea. It was extremely uncomfortable and concerning.
The service was also very poor. The male server was rude and ignored us multiple times, even when we clearly tried to get his attention. We had to raise our hands to ask for side dishes, and he only brought part of what we requested. This level of service is unacceptable and unlike anything I’ve experienced at other Korean restaurants.
The food itself was overly seasoned with too much spice and chili powder, masking the original flavors. Sadly, it was one of the worst Korean meals I’ve had in Koreatown.
I hope you take this seriously and look into both your food safety and service quality.

I am writing to provide an update regarding the current situation related to my complaint. Due to experiencing repeated episodes of diarrhea, I have been feeling physically weak. To relieve the symptoms promptly, I took anti-diarrheal medication, which has provided temporary relief. As of now, I have not sought medical treatment, mainly because the waiting time for an appointment during this period is quite long.
However, if the symptoms persist or worsen, I will seek medical attention...
