I live fairly close by so have been wanting to try Howard’s for quite some time because I pass it often. This past weekend I finally got the chance and overall thought it was pretty good. It’s located in a small shopping center with free parking right out front and it is more of a to go type of establishment, but there are a few tables inside. Pricing is also pretty fair, especially compared to other places around town. The woman behind the counter was very polite and everything that we ordered was made very quickly.

I will say that the burger was the highlight of the meal. I ordered the 2/3 lb Burger which is their largest and added avocado and thought it was pretty good. Not the best I’ve had in town but much better than a lot of other ones. We also tried the fries which were so so , the same with the BLTA. The bacon was crispy, which is how I like it, but overall the flavors were kind of bland. The corn dog we were not very big fans of so it makes me not really want to try their hotdog.

Overall a pretty good burger spot and I would recommend if you are in the area but not sure if I would recommend to travel far for it. I plan to give it another try...

Me and my family drove from Las Vegas to West Los Angeles to spend the day at Venice Beach. We had so much fun! Afterwards, we were looking for a good burger joint to sit and eat that was affordable. THIS IS THE PLACE! The restaurant is small but very clean, their menu is easy to read, they have a variety of food to choose from and the prices are very affordable! I got the Howard’s Special with the 1/4 Burger, Fries and Lemonade. The burger was hot and fresh! Fries perfect! The lemonade wasn’t 5 stars but it was still good. My husband ordered the Turkey Burgee and he loved it. My kids orders the Fish and Chips and they loved it. I tasted the Fish and I am not a beer battered person but ate their beer battered fish. It was good! They also gave us a sample of their chili👌🏽The customer service was amazing! We will be back to try out the rest of the menu on another one of our...

Bacon Avocado burger was nothing special, bun was not soft and beef was not juicy. Not terrible but I'd honestly rather grab a double western burger from carl's jr at that price point.

Fries were as underwhelming as it gets; see photo and you can probably taste the mediocrity through the screen. I recognize that fries are very subjective and if these bland potato pillows are your nostalgia hit then have at it, but I threw mine away.

Refills cost $1 (limit 1 for some reason). I'll never understand why places penny pinch to the point of insult like that. Internet presence is neglected, so the menu attached to the store's google listing has incorrect prices. No bathroom.

Service was great. The lady smiled and made me happy with her speed and friendliness. I wish the food could have sustained that...

I was VERY disappointed after visiting this location, to say the least. I wanted to try something new and local in Los Angeles, and was craving burgers, so I looked up popular local burgers. This was one of the first spots that popped up. I don't know why. Maybe because it's simple, no-frills, and been here forever, people think it's somehow special? Because the burgers were pricey, the dining area was unpleasant and unclean, and the burgers were dry and tasteless. I didn't enjoy it in the slightest, and paid as much for a burger here as I would for one at Umami Burger. A complete and utter letdown. Just because an establishment is old doesn't make it special! This place is nothing good at all.
