I was here at 7pm on a Saturday. I waited for about 15mins(4 or 5 other parties ahead of me, line was out the door) to order and another 10mins to receive my drink. I had the Rose Milk Tea, which had boba and lychee jelly. It was delicious. The pricing is fair, most drinks there are around $5/6.
The service was extremely slow and understandable; Being located in the USC neighborhood, a really warm Saturday evening and the extra orders via UberEats due to the pandemic. Even though I'm being an understanding customer, the owners/management shouldn't tolerate it nor rely on their customer's understanding. They might be just a bit short-staffed or just need to allocate the roles of the workers more efficiently. They had one cashier taking orders AND the online/UberEats orders. The young kid was nice. Doing his very best but I can tell he was being stretched thin, having so many other tasks to do. They had about 4 or 5 workers making the drinks.
Management needs to fix the slow service. I'm an extremely patience person but doesn't mean I don't enjoy quick service. Allocate your resources better. Have a separate employee ONLY handle UberEats orders and your other cashier ONLY handle in-store orders. And maybe cut down the number of items on your drinks menu? We all love variety and options but it's about 15/20 items too much. This will help steer my and many others decisions on what to drink. Oh, and helping cut down the ordering time. As well, let me elaborate on the workers. They were all trying and doing their very best. It's just the management has set them up to fail.
In all, they make good drinks but is it worth the long and arguous wait? 9 out 10 times, NO! And please add a couple of dollars into the tip jar. The workers deserve it. I'm sure their pay don't do...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had an interview here today. I got the job but i will absolutely not be showing up. The manger that goes by manager Young was extremely rude and off putting. Iām positive that anyone else there that was also applying (bc there were many ppl there applying) would say the same thing. I understand being a little strict at a job but he obviously took his job way too seriously. It honestly felt like i was applying to be in a cult. He told me that if i was even 2 minutes late i shouldnāt bother showing up, he told me that I could absolutely not have a second job for some reason. And he also told me that even looking at ur phone was an instant write up. When i asked him simple questions like what is the uniform like or how much is the pay, he would say āiāll tell you laterā it was honestly insane. I honestly wish i was recording bc words canāt even describe how uncomfortable it was. He told me that he wanted to test me and see if i could be there on time the next day at a specific time which i thought was weird and if i failed the job wasnāt mine anymore. He told me that he didnāt care if i had an āunlucky lifeā and he did not care about any excuses for being late. Itās a bummer bc i rlly wanted to work here but i couldnāt imagine putting up with how absolutely insane this guy was. ALSO he was just rude, when i said hi to him at the beginning of the interview he ignored me and jumped straight into asking me questions. He asked me what i did for fun and when i about to answer HE CUT ME OFF. He was honestly insane and i feel bad for all of the young kids that work there that r being taken advantage of and think that they have to put...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt took me a week to finally write this. We were publicly embarrassed and ask not to come back. Why you may ask? Because they messed up our order. My boyfriend and I have been going here for a while now. You would think the staff we see there on a regular basis would eventually warm up to us. We order the same thing all the time. Most business appreciate regulars. Apparently we arenāt the demographic of what this business wants. Long story short, my boyfriend asked the employee to add items we paid for in Acai bowl- the manager came over and said he would fix it but he doesnāt want us to come back. While they are adding the items, my boyfriend is asking what did we do wrong? He said loudly if you keep talking to me, you will not get your item. As my boyfriend proceeded to ask why again. The manager infront of a pack house, took my drink And told the employees not to make other item. Gave us back our money and told us to leave. Now, could you imagine someone making you feel like nothing, especially in front of people. I tried to forget about this but I have been since then very traumatized by this. I am writing this because no one should have to be a specific race to be treated with kindness and respect. Especially a business we were regulars. I am writing hoping that another person who doesnāt fit this business demographics arenāt treated as low down like we were. People will forget what you said but they will never forget how you...
