Juquila Restaurant — Restaurant in Los Angeles

We stopped by my girlfriend’s birthday last week. I am sorry I waited so long to write this review. We picked this place because her dad is from Oaxaca. So we decided to make a reservation here a day before. We didn’t know what to order, but the guy that served us recommended the parillada Oaxaqueña. This dish or more like platter comes with different meats like cesina, chorrizo, tasajo, carne asada and grilled chicken. The side dishes include beans, rice and tortillas. The drinks that he recommended was a drink called horchata con nieve. Which this drink is made from scratch from the chef and not it’s not like your typical horchata that you can get from other restaurants. I am a huge fan of Mole and almost always order it whenever I see it on a restaurant menu. Over the years, I have probably ordered it at a hundred or more different restaurants. I have been to Juquila twice in the last month (stumbled upon it the first time after getting a car wash across the street). Juquila's black Mole is one of the best I have ever tasted. On top of that, their salsa is superb and they make their own excellent corn tortillas. I can't wait to try the red Mole next. Awful. We walked in and I guess they were doing some sort of party in the back? But immediately it felt overwhelming. There were 3 loud speakers on all playing songs. One was extremely loud to where I couldn’t hear my friend sitting across from me. There were tons of drunk underage college girls falling over and screaming at whatever party was happening with the extremely loud music. We were there for 20 minutes, no one came and brought us water or anything. The waiter never spoke to us but about 10 minutes in he tossed some menus at us.
