Goodwill Southern California Store & Donation Center — Local services in Los Angeles

I like shopping here because they have good brands in this store. The problem is the management, specially the Indian lady who is the one doing the exchanges. She was yelling at me accusing me of switching tags in the items, so I explained to her that I usually shop a lot in other goodwills and I might’ve bring the wrong receipt but she kept accusing me in front of everyone. This was embarrassing and outrageous… it’s my first time having a bad experience like this in a thrift store. She also was yelling at another lady who didn’t speak English, she was accusing her of leaving items on the floor when it wasn’t her fault. She threatened the Hispanic lady about not allowing her to come back to the store if she left something misplaced again. I really hope they put someone else as a manager because at the end of the day, they should be grateful to receive all those donations for free and then making profit out of it. Definitely a bit on the pricey side for used and donated goods. However more fair price then other GWs in the area. Nice selection of clothes and home decor. To find the great stuff you really have to be ready for when they bring the carts out.

Would have gave 3 stars— docked one due to collusion between a shopper and a worker. I overheard a worker telling one of the shoppers of some very nice/valuable items they have in the back, and told her she would wait to bring it out quietly so her friend could grab it. I get it, we’re all looking for a bargain, but to me this is totally unfair and unethical...

Can’t believe there aren’t more reviews on here — this is by far my favorite Goodwill in Los Angeles (I’ve been to almost all of them), because of the huge selection of both clothing AND home goods. I never leave the store empty handed, except for one time. Which is why I must give a MAJOR shoutout to Manpreet for her excellent customer service and warm demeanor.
