I have been trying to give them multiple chances since they are well priced n close to my house but tonight is the final when I got their yellowtail roll n they gave me bloody fish in my sushi. Now I know the sushi chefs are not Japanese but Thai still, as chefs at the very least you can trim out the bloody fish. They are also very rude n make sarcastic remarks to me when I don’t order more than an appetizer mussels but now this one time I took a chance to order sushi they served me disgusting sushi rolls that are basic rolls. These Thai chefs do not deserve to be making sushi. It’s gross to pay for this kind of sushi. I didn’t eat my order. I don’t want to get sick. I will never go back again I just wish this town would have better standards for sushi to shame the Japanese. Take a look at my photo of the bloody sushi.

If you’re in the mood for sushi that’s as creative as it is high-quality, Kaijin Sushi is the spot. They even named a roll after us — The WB for Wil and Brittany — and let me tell you, you must order it. You won’t regret it. We had to come back twice this week for another round. Every bite is fresh, balanced, and full of flavor. The service is just as impressive as the food: warm, attentive, and welcoming in a way that makes you feel like family. From start to finish, the entire experience is top-notch. Highly recommend for anyone who loves sushi done right.

After dining Kaijin on Friday night, we’ve found our new favorite neighborhood sushi spot. The fish was fresh and reasonably priced, complemented by warm and attentive service. The added experience of getting alcohol next door was a plus. With an extensive menu, it was challenging to make a decision, but eventually, we settled on the Aquaman roll – and it was incredibly delicious! We’ll be back soon!

My husband and I have had a hard time finding good sushi in LA. We have found places that are good but strangely limited to things like just handrolls or nigiri, and and some of those are absurdly expensive. We are used to the San Mateo which has more sushi than probably any place other than Tokyo, and where it is reasonably price and 9 out of 10 are excellent and the 10th is still really good. We just haven't found that here until now.

Kaijin Sushi is excellent. It has variety (and by variety, I do not mean california rolls with fish on top which is what most of the sushi places in LA seem to think variety means). I mean real variety. Different fish, eel, shellfish, etc. inside and out, cut sushi, handrolls (the spicy scallop handroll is especially yummy and impressively sized), sashimi, etc. Their rolls are decent sized and they don't try to over fill them with rice and skimp on the fish either. They also play with the spice. If you order spicy it won't just be dynamite sauce. It might be dynamite sauce; it might be wasabi; it might be hot chili oil. And their edamame is adequately salted (another issue I have with too many places is bland edamame).

And they are reasonably priced, not reasonably priced for LA, but reasonably priced. The rolls, most of which come with 8+ pieces are ~$14-$16. The fish is fresh and flavorful and generous. It is our new and only sushi place from here on out. I know I should have taken a picture of the rolls, and I'll try to do so next time, but the picture I took should convey how much...

We are visiting LA for the weekend and were dying for sushi. After walking a long ways to try a very popular spot only to find out there was a two hour wait, I scrambled for a something new and quickly came across this restaurant. The reviews were stellar, just not a lot of them and I assumed they were new. When we arrived it wasn’t super busy, but the staff was really warm and all greeted us. Our server was incredibly attentive and got our first orders in immediately. They were talking with people at the bar, and we loved the vibe.

Our sushi was so fresh and the servings were more than generous. The roll selections were creative and plentiful and enormous. We got tempura veggies that came out steaming and we’re so fresh and amazing. Honestly the whole meal was great. At the end the chef sent us a some special pieces as my partner loved yellowtail and they were insane. Honestly the place deserves to be packed.

Great...

Not ordering delivery from this place again. Twice it has taken 1.5 hours to be delivered. First time it happens you think it’s a fluke. Second time proves it wasn’t. The app said it was “preparing” for most of the 1.5 hour delivery time. Each driver had to wait for 45 minutes as the restaurant was finishing their “preparing.” It takes 7 minutes for the delivery driver to drive to you. When the food gets to you, all of it has been sitting for what seems like an hour. Not one thing seems fresh. What were they “preparing?” Why was the miso soup lukewarm? Why was the sushi fish the same temperature as my tongue? Why was the rice the texture of once soggy bread due to having some of its moisture evaporated and now creates a thick paste in your mouth? Why did the food sit there for so long? JUST GIVE IT TO THE DRIVER WHEN IT’S READY. Thanks for listening I have said my piece and will probably never eat this...
