Some of my office mates and I wanted to come here after recommendations from our boss. Yesterday, we wanted ice cream for our dessert that's why we came here after office hours. The shop is very nice, clean and comfortable and we even stayed here for almost and hour.
I was tempted to order an ice cream wasted on root beer floats because it looks great! And it didn't disappoint me. It really tastes great! They have lots of ice cream selections so we had no idea what to order. So we just ordered 3 of their ice creams randomly but toasted coconut almond chip was hands down my favorite. Their ice cream's texture is just perfect. Not too frozen, not too smooth. Perfect sweetness and creaminess. A scoop of ice cream brings the whole group to so much hyperness and happiness.
We're planning to come back and we will bring more...
Read moreMcConnell’s Fine Ice Creams is truly special because everything is made completely in-house with no stabilizers or preservatives, using only the freshest local California milk, cream, and organic eggs. I tried the mango, strawberry, and cookies & cream flavors, and each one tasted incredibly fresh, rich, and full of flavor. The texture was perfectly creamy without being overly heavy, and you can really tell the difference in quality compared to ordinary ice cream. They also offer seasonal flavors, which makes me want to come back and try something new each time. Since this shop is located inside Grand Central Market, it feels more like the perfect spot to grab a cone or cup and enjoy it while exploring, rather than sitting down for a long visit. It’s a fun, casual treat that adds to the lively atmosphere...

McConnell's embraces a slightly more family-friendly but still experimental vibe as compared to other hipper ice cream shops, but their creativity still shines through. The seasonal Earl Grey and Biscuits flavor is stunningly forward in its bergamot flavoring without being offensively flowery. Amazing stuff.
This location is in the middle of an already crowded Grand Central Market, so beware of the sometimes overflowing line. Order and move down the line in an orderly...
