Not very warm comparatively.
In fact drive-thru guy may have been having a bad day, or come from an occupational therapy program because he gave me a cold stare as if to say he either didn't like me, or he didn't at all, I mean, at all, like having to be at work on this Sunday.
I observed him over time, not very discreetly, and never noticed him lighten up and smile, or talk to anyone.
Good for the boss if he put him on the best job for him, which may have been complete focus on drive-thru communications.
My main concern, beyond being liked, was that I shouldn't have my drinks, or bags (in this case tray, since I ordered a Deluxe, delicious, Breakfast) filled by someone who doesn't at least appear to be friendly-neutral towards me. And most drive through order-takers, working inside (my order was inside), multi-task, and help out with such things when they are caught up, from what I can tell, and remember, from my McDonald's (employment) days. I was very happy to see my Coffee order filled by another person in the front.
Men's louve/restroom was limpia/clean! The urinal odor may have been better if they had an automatic flusher. Full-credit to the maintenance person who had zero, I mean zero paper, or trash on the the tables, or even floors (from the latrine/restroom to the dining area), and, the floors looked clean, and the restroom floor had a moist, but not slippery, just-cleaned look about it, if that's not too much information. The lady I saw cleaning up the dining areas seemed very focused on her job, as if cleaning was her number one purpose. That's first priority at McDonald's.😉
Aesthetics were expensive looking, but lacking charm. To make up for the lack of a scratchable, or breakable mirror in the men's room (although the obviously shined wall-granite was highly reflective like well-polished boots), they could have placed a mirror on the wall just outside the restrooms for people who forgot to bring their personal hand mirrors, to be able to check for a fly in their eye, or a bird-drop on their head (whatever😂). Without a periodic restroom break, complete with mirror check, one has to return to the table insecure that they may have some dandruff, or snot, or even toilet paper on their face, since there usually aren't paper towels, or facial tissue in restrooms anymore. After-all, people use the McDonald's dining area, or at least a single table, to do business presentations/meetings, and it can be a decent low-budget date scene as well, since the selections offer something tasty for most of us, from a variety of customizable salads to customized burgers smothered in onions, or even buffalo (spicy, hot...) sauce, not to mention the mini-Sundae's, Real-fruit Yogurts, or the (fresh?) Cookies (with Coffee)! Quick-in, quick-out!
This is a gradually gentrifying, somewhat artsy area, but, because of the elevated homeless population in the area, there are more people coming in dealing with mental health and substance abuse issues than normal, around the clock, they had a security guard. He was a key player when the man fell-down, and challenged (respectfully) boisterous patrons, including those who apparently had caused problems previously. He was great. Stern, but playfully-friendly, so he just blended with the atmosphere. Try this place and give your own review! It would be good to know if they improve over my...
Read moreFurious with this place! She handed me my frozen drink without putting the lid on it securely and when I moved it from my left hand to my right hand I Jarred the lid not knowing that it wasn't on and spilled the drink all over my clothing and all over the interior of my car down between the seat and console. I pleaded with her for a rag a wet rag and she would not give it to me, so I pulled over and fortunately I had a bottle of water I was drinking from, and some napkins in my car, and I tried to clean the interior of my car when a young man came out who I thought was coming to help me but he wasn't, and I said "please help me can you get me a rag because I have this drink all over the inside of my car". I asked him to send out the manager and he told me the manager "was too busy to help me". He then went back inside and I asked again for him to send the manager and I continue to try to clean and when the young man came out he handed me some dry napkins which didn't do anything to help me. Then the manager came out with a large drink which was the last thing that I needed at that moment, and I pleaded again for a wet rag and he told me that he wasn't going to get me a rag that I was being rude. Rude? Seriously? I had sticky drink all over my car and my clothing because she didn't put the lid on correctly. Needless to say I called corporate and I am waiting to hear now from the owner of that...
Read moreIt Mickey D's, they are built on consistency as far as the food goes it's standard to the region. Meaning if you go to the Netherlands you will taste the difference in the quality of the heat. Here the rampant homelessness makes for a public bathroom place for the homeless population. The MTA bus drivers use it as a stop for the short Sunset line. It is almost always dirty in some form. Don't go there to use the bathroom. The homeless come in to wash, dig in the trash inside the restaurant for left overs, use the Soda machine for ice etc. I've seen the homeless eat with their shoes off, if you find any of this unappetizing this might not be the Macdonalds for you. Did I mention the panhandling at the end of the drive thru, an gang etching in the tables. Kids, they can't resist themselves. For me personally I'm like yeah boy. This is the Echo park I am used to Lol. I'm not kidding I'm used to it in a way. That sleaze factor that makes Echo park Echo Park.
On the flipside they are wiping the tables and mopping, so the restaurant is clean. Drive thru is fast and efficient.
Open 24 hours I passed thru at 4am and my Filet o Fish bun was hard as a rock. But that's my only food complaint.
