This review is for any celiac or gluten intolerant aware customers. I have an intolerance to wheat and I was happy to hear they use gf bread to substitute. The work is always out on the customer to research everything about a place and although some restaurants provide a chart-it’s still often left a mystery for some items. Ive personally experimented many many times here spending money on these expensive sandwiches however I don’t believe this place has the capacity in their kitchen to make sure they are checking ingredients of any traces of gluten in any sauces or toppings or guac in sandwiches they design. Because there’s more to it than simply switching out bread. Gluten is often a filler ingredient in a lot of toppings or add ons that their menu does not take account for wherever they purchase their supplies. At least on the Postmates app the only gluten thing you can control is the bread but it doesn’t indicate anything else that may contain gluten if you need to add or remove. I’ve tried different combinations and each time has ended up with pain which I prepared for but was saddened because it’s hard enough finding a place truly gluten free when they claim so. I’d love to see this place either reserve real menu items that are truly gf and a dedicated knife and part of the kitchen or just not offer them at all. It’s just dangerous to offer it but not put the work into checking the sandwiches will have toppings that aren’t filled with gluten like bacon or sauces etc. the place is nice otherwise but their gf items are not trustworthy or worth going through the pain finding out...

Mendocino Farms opened up in Los Feliz in March on the corner of Sunset and Hillhurst. I am happy to see them here and went to try them out today.
They are a fast casual expansion focused concept. They are also part of the local food source movement. I know some people resist expansion style concepts, but I hope they give Mendocino Farms a try because they excel at creating amazing tastes and flavors.
The Peruvian steak sandwich was so so good. I am going to be dreaming about those flavors tonight. I will come back to try their entree salads, but on this visit, beets and farro plus spicy Dijon potato salad were a perfect accompaniment to the steak sandwich.
Everything was fresh, flavorful, and honestly reasonable prices. I was here at lunchtime, and they had a nice crowd, so it is nice to see the neighborhood welcoming them.
I walked over since I live close by, so I'm not sure about their parking, but they have a nice vig space with...

I ordered the Impossible Taco Salad and tried their Rose Lemonade (hibiscus - my favorite!). The salad came out fairly quickly and I absolutely loved it. The ingredients were fresh, the portion was just right, and I was able to finish my salad in just one sitting! Shelby L. took care of us during our visit and I commend him on his excellent customer service! He was very friendly, humored us with a few hilarious quips, and checked in on us. He even offered us complimentary desserts due to a delay with one of our meals.
Overall, I had a great first experience. The food, service, and atmosphere earns Mendos its 5-star rating. I will definitely be...
