A Hidden Gem for Authentic Mexican Eats 🌮✨

Stepped into Mr. Valdez Mexican Food on a sunny afternoon and let me tell you, this spot is legit! Nestled on Pacific Avenue, right between 1st Street and Santa Cruz St, this place is a vibe. The interior gives off those cozy, welcoming feels that make you wanna chill and savor every bite.

Started off with their Mexican-style shrimp cocktail - a total flavor bomb that’s perfect for the ā€˜Gram. Their rolled-up taquitos, chips, and salsa? Chef’s kiss! 🤌 And don’t even get me started on the Horchata; it’s like a hug in a cup. Whether you’re a baby boomer, a millennial foodie or part of the Gen Z crowd, there’s something here that’ll hit just right.

Mr. and Mrs. Valdez are the heart and soul of this joint, serving up not only incredible lunch and seafood options but also some bomb breakfast dishes that’ll have you coming back for more. And for those very busy or lazy days? They’ve got you covered with GrubHub delivery.

So, if you’re cruising down Pacific Ave, looking for that perfect Mexican fix, pull up at Mr. Valdez’s. Parking is on the Santa Cruz St. side in the back. It’s more than just a meal; it’s an experience. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you! šŸŒ¶ļøšŸ’Æ #LocalLove #MexicanCuisine...

Mr. Valdez Restaurant is a hidden gem! From the moment you walk in, the cozy atmosphere makes you feel right at home. The menu has a great mix of traditional and creative dishes, and everything I tried was packed with flavor.

The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, which makes the whole experience even better. I definitely recommend trying anything from the menu, everything we chose was amazing, burrito de asada, enchiladas, menudo, mole con pollo, chilaquiles verdes, and the red ones were really delicious, just be careful with the red chilaquiles if you don't like spicy; they are amazing! Overall, it's a fantastic place for a relaxed meal with friends or family. Plus, they have free parking and the back. I can't...

To begin with, the service at this restaurant is outstanding. If you are looking to delight your palate and impress your elsee grandparents and parents from Mexico, this is the perfect place to dine. My order consisted of chilaquiles with red sauce, topped with crema, Mexican cheese, and onions, served with a side of homemade fried beans and Mexican rice. The horchata, made with authentic ingredients, is a true reflection of traditional Mexican flavors. The overall dining experience is filled with flavor and warmth. This family-owned restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, reminiscent of visiting relatives. I highly recommend it, and appreciate the convenient parking and handicap accessibility. Also- SUPER CLEAN &...

I'm so glad these guys are open again! I've never been to a Mexican restaurant anywhere in L.A where the cook slices fresh onions and lemons for every order. They fried the chips on order, and the meats were incredibly fresh and grilled to the perfect point. Yes, there's plenty of Mexican restaurants around here and everywhere in this city, but Mr.Valdez really stands out. The couple that took care of us were super kind and you can tell they really care about their business. Will be coming back more often than I'd like to admit!
