This small hole in the wall first caught my attention when I was looking for a place to eat near an escape room I was going to later that evening. Due to the lack of information online regarding the restaurant, I arrived and found it closed. Fast forward one year and this time, I called before stopping by and found them to be open and ready for business!
Because it is located on the outskirts of the fashion district, and in the heart of small businesses and factories, traffic isn’t too heavy in the area and so metered parking is not usually too hard to find. It was a small restaurant with a good variety of food on the menu. I decided to try the more flavorful version of carne asada even though the chicken and mojarra looked amazing! The little restaurant does not have any AC so be prepared to bake with your food on a hot summer day!
The plate came with beans, rice and a small salad. I enjoyed everything overall, the rice was cooked well, beans made you toot, and the salad was standard fare. But I was a bit disappointed by the texture of my main entrée. The carne asada was very tough in some areas, despite being so thin. And because of the lack of metal utensils, it was also very difficult to cut and really get into. The mojarra on the other hand looked amazing. It was very big and fat. It had a wonderful texture and tasted great. The meat on that fish ensured you that it was very well fed and lived a good life before meeting its maker.

Absolutely mind blowing how delicious everything was. Perfection. Second time I haul my husband with me and I ate menudo/pancita (which was incredibly tasty, spicy and filling), he ate chilaquiles with fried eggs. He loved it but his face was half melting due to him not being able to tolerate spice. He did not matter, no other chilaquiles will suffice from...
