Silverlake Ramen, nestled in Koreatown, has truly captured our hearts as the ultimate go-to spot for fantastic ramen. Our experiences at this restaurant have consistently exceeded our expectations, and we find ourselves returning time and time again.
One of the standout features of Silverlake Ramen is their all-day, everyday happy hour. This is an absolute game-changer, providing remarkable value for the quality of food and experience. Our typical order includes their mouthwatering chicken karaage, perfectly seasoned and delightfully crispy, paired with a pitcher of beerâa combination that never fails to satisfy our cravings, all at an incredible price.
However, the true star of their menu, and my personal all-time favorite, is their garlic truffle ramen. This exquisite creation is a true masterpiece that has set the bar high for any other ramen I've tried. The harmonious blend of robust garlic flavors and the delicate truffle essence creates a symphony of tastes that is simply unparalleled.
Aside from the remarkable food, another aspect that makes Silverlake Ramen stand out is their dog-friendly atmosphere. It's a place where we can enjoy a fantastic meal with our furry friends by our side. This added touch of inclusivity and warmth makes dining here an even more enjoyable experience.
Silverlake Ramen has become our default choice for satisfying our ramen cravings. We frequent this establishment at least once a month and consider it the perfect spot to bring friends and family visiting from out of town. The combination of exceptional food, unbeatable happy hour, and a dog-friendly environment make it a gem...
Read moreThis is on my shortlist of great go-to neighborhood jointsâitâs just plain good! Itâs always clean and offers friendly efficient service. I used to like the classic Tonkatsu pork-based broth with is rich and creamy. Lately I much prefer the thinner simpler Shoyu chicken-based broth. I like the pork as my protein which is one large thick piece much less fatty than most other places. I hold the egg as I hate them⌠but I substitute the bamboo shoots for bean sprouts making it more like a classic Ramen with a chicken broth. They include a nice fresh piece of seaweed and a generous portion of spinach. The noodles are always plentiful cooked perfectly. The soup comes to the table hot and and while itâs hard to finishâyou probably will! Iâve ordered the Gyozaâgood but not needed. Thereâs a nice simple patio seating area that overlooks the busy courtyard that I suggest. I like to start at KazuNori 3 doors down for 2-3 hand rolls and then on to Silverlake Ramen for soup. Thereâs a lot of Ramen joints to choose from⌠I find this one the most consistent, cleanest...
Read moreThis place has gone way down hill since I first came here. The quality of the meat is rubbery, the broth is watered down. Thereâs never a manager on site so the employees just look at you like youâre crazy when they get your order wrong. This restaurant is gross the employees are rude. I was there today with a friend and we had to swat flies away from our food the whole meal. We were sitting inside! A fly fell into my soup and luckily today the manager was there. She reluctantly took it of the bill, after insinuating that we put the fly in there ourselves to get free food. She asked if we have a problem. We said our only problem was the fly in our food. She made us quite uncomfortable for complaining about something that shouldnât be an issue. This restaurant is gross inside!!!!! Do not eat here. I remember when the food was decent so if you must have it take it TO GO. I will definitely not...
