Seems like my review was taken off. I went there about 5 months ago and I had the worst customer service I have ever experienced. If I could I would give this place a 0. The food is delicious but what makes me not come back ever again is the customer service. When we arrived the cashier was on her phone texting away, when I finished ordering she tells me that they were about to close but that we were fine to eat there. So we sat down because we were under the assumption that we were ok. Note that we were there 25 minutes before they closed. The other girl that was there wiping down tables was giving us nothing but attitude for no apparent reason. Keep in mind that there were still customers in the restaurant. How were we supposed to know they were closing when the cashier didnt say anything after we finished ordering. If she would of said that they were closing from the beginning we would of gone somewhere else to eat. I too work in customer service so I get it. One customer had asked the girl wiping down the tables, why their night was slow and she responded back to him with nothing but attitude. While we were waiting for our food the cashier comes over and gives us our food to go BLAMING the chef saying he packed up your food to go. Who the hell does that!!!!!! No, hey sorry but we are closing now, any way we can package your food to go? I will never give my money to this place EVER again and I will make sure I tell everyone I know not to eat...
Read moreWow this was good. I'm not a fan of the tzatziki sauce generally, the one they have was more of a subtle supportive sauce vs the typical overbearing cucumber flavor most have.
The feta sauce they have is shockingly good. Not sure what they add to it, but it's so much better than just plain feta.
They have a sauce called berlinger that was good to dip fries in (likely not what it's intended for, but I got a side just to taste it). However I mainly dipped the fries in the feta sauce, and it was awesome.
The pita with the gyro was a great texture and flavor, not your typical strip mall pita that they toss on the griddle.
The lamb was higher quality as well. Great flavor and didn't come across any of those hard chewy parts you run into often.
I just popped down for a few days to visit a friend, so haven't had a chance to try anything else, but betting it's almost all good. Certainly will eat here again when we bring the kids down for a universal trip.
Honestly kinda glad it's not close as this place would make me fat. It would become a weekly staple. So, if you love great food but have my metabolism, visit at...
Read moreBeen a long time fan/supported for Spitz in Los Feliz. I've known they had a Studio City location for a while, but never took the plunge. SO and I were in the location and decided to try it out. Holy crap we fell in love. Same great beer selection and food choice, but in a smaller storefront compared to the Los Feliz site. What made me fall in love with this location more is the fact that all the walls are essentially covered with old 70s, 80s, and 90s record album covers. We got there on a Friday night and a guy was spinning some records, but what he was playing was perfect for the environment. Old school meets new school music that went perfect for the vibe. It was love at first sound. Food is a 'new wave' doner style/Mediterranean food featuring shawrma's (with your choice of meat) as well as these fancy 'Street Cart Fries'. Holy crap YOU HAVE TO GET THE STREET CART FRIES! Mediterranean toppings with other delicious goodies on top of french...
