“The One and Only John: A Latte Gangster’s Masterpiece”
Have you ever met someone so good at their job, you almost feel like they’re running a caffeine cartel? That’s John, the baddest barista in LA-a man so skilled, he makes your average barista look like they’re microwaving yesterday’s coffee.
Now, let me tell you about my drink. This wasn’t just coffee; it was an experience. A Triple Ristretto Blonde Espresso Grande Latte, with oat milk, two pumps of brown sugar syrup, extra hot, and finished with a dash of cinnamon powder. Let’s be clear: this is not a drink-it’s a caffeinated sonnet.
The moment I pulled up to the drive-thru, John wasn’t just taking my order. No, no. John was orchestrating. He’s like the Don Corleone of espresso, but instead of saying “I’ll make him an offer he can’t refuse,” it’s, “I’ll make him a latte he’ll dream about.” His precision is surgical. Oat milk? Steamed to just shy of lava, but never scalded. Cinnamon? Sprinkled like he’s negotiating peace between spices.
And the blonde espresso? Forget about it. John doesn’t just pour shots; he pulls them like he’s summoning ancient caffeine spirits. You can practically hear him whispering to the beans, “You’re gonna shine today, kid.”
But here’s the kicker: John isn’t flashy about it. He’s got that calm, unbothered confidence, like a guy who knows he’s the best but doesn’t need to tell you. He hands over your cup like, “Here you go. Try not to cry.”
So, yeah, John isn’t just a barista. He’s an artist. A caffeine gangster. A legend in an apron. If you’re ever lucky enough to encounter him, prepare for greatness - and bring your A-game. Anything less would be disrespectful to the craft.
The One and Only John, if you’re reading this, young king, never stop...
Read moreI don't know what in the name of fresh hail is going on with this location I used to come there for quick stop in the restroom in the coffee since I'm a driver I used to come and then all of a sudden the lobby will be closed just about everyday. And you had to go through the drive through which usually I did not or couldn't not go to the drive through did not have that type of time. Made an inquiry with the manager only to find out that a worker there was supposedly getting harrassed by a customer and she felt the need to close qthe lobby periodically that didn't make any since after a while you would think you would get the authorities involved if you had to do that continuously. So for a while I just stop going. Now it's months later I decide to go today since it's super hot and I gotta tell you this is one of the worst frappuccinos I've ever got poorly mixed under mix and it tastes literally like chocolate and coffee powder and ice and huge chunks of ice in there I asked for a mooka Frappuccino venti size no whipped cream extra pup a frap and a mocha drizzle I don't like it sweet but this thing had no sugar and I could not after 2 sips a couple of sips I thought let me try to mix it it didn't get any better it just got worse so II really felt like I've wasted my money and I ended up to throw it out. Last time going to this location I should have stuck on my first mind and stick withPeets...
Read moreHey, Starbucks groupie here. I've had my shared of drive-thru and mobile pickup orders on a weekly basis with many of the Starbucks in the Westchester and Inglewood area. This is my two-cents and a nickel on this location. Let's jump right into this review.
This location is on Century Boulevard - stand alone location, directly across the street from the Westin Hotel. Use to be an old Taco Bell.
Drinks (my usuals) Venti strawberry acaí with lemonade, no strawberries, add peach juice
Venti green tea with water, add 2 splendas, sometimes I substitute water for lemonade
Grande Hot Chocolate w/ extra whipped cream, with a splash of vanilla syrup - kids temp :)
Things to know: Drive-thru and inside accessible with tables and chairs. It's a large Starbucks.
Private lot with parking spaces.
I have ordered inside and through the drive-thru.
I have learned that the refreshers/teas taste varies by location. I do wish there was consistency. Flavor is a hit and miss from time to time.
The staff is friendly and personable at this location. No complaints. Service can be slow during peak times.
The inside is usually in "good shape", lol. I don't see trash, dirty tables, or messy counters.
This location is 24 hours. No matter the day, hour, light or dark outside, this Starbucks can fulfill all your...
