Sunset Rooftop — Restaurant in Los Angeles

If I could give this joint less than 1 star, I would. I’m in town on a work layover, decided to have a drink at this spot. I got up this elevator with barbed wire on top. I order a Lauganitas with orange from the bar. Someone who appears to be security comes up to me and accuses me of coming into the establishment without paying a cover and also smuggling the beer. He claimed the establishment didn’t carry the glass I had.

I proceed to complain to the man I ordered from, perplexed about the allegations. He was explains to me that the restaurant didn’t have many mugs that style, and that’s why the security decided to scold me. Instead of being good leadership, the manager decided to double down on his employees bad judgment. One with long dreadlocks and the other short and wide. They tried arguing with me for minutes about my own purchase. The manager continued to try convincing me that the employees were right, even though he HIMSELF recommended me the the beer AND the bartender that poured it for me.

When security asked her about it, she claimed she never poured me the drink and never charged me for it. Racism personified. I couldn’t believe it. I really thought a forward city like LA wouldn’t judge me so poorly based on my skin.

Also, I’m from out of town. If you require a cover to sit in the part of the restaurant I sat in, maybe you should have had someone stationed at that elevator. Instead of shaming me for not knowing, maybe you should have a better system. I walked straight from the elevator not knowing anything about a cover system for that portion of the restaurant.

I was embarrassed and was feeling awkward. I made an honest entrance, made a valid purchase, and was chastised for not knowing unknown/unpublished policies. They need to take a serious reality check of themselves. If not, they will not survive in...

One of the worst, probably most horrible hookah experiences I’ve had in quite some time. If zero stars was an option, it would definitely be given. We arrived this weekend around 11:30 on a Saturday, forgotten for about an hour until security saw us once again sitting down in the same spot and had to plead and beg with the servers to attend to us at approximately 12:30 the next day, Sunday morning. Upon being seated, we were left and ignored by each and every server, but specifically our own server, who was distracted with dancing to the fan song and doing heaven knows what. Service was so bad that an hour in, one of my friends had to flag what we believe to be our server down, which she tried hard to ignore. She then playfully said, “Oh, I guess I am your server.” She took our orders, which did not come at all. She got my order wrong and brought out something completely different. After arriving at 11:30 the day prior by 1:30, we finally had one hookah and no food, and we got to watch the same kind of food we ordered, which was wings - dropped off at three or four different tables. The service was so tacky and so terrible that I decided to leave…..an avid hookah head. When I was leaving, and I wanted to get the tab, the server wanted me to pay full price, even though I hadn’t even received all my items. I paid in cash, and now I have a charge on my account, so not only was this a bad experience, it was terrible, and these people know nothing about hospitality or basic general business. Please save your night....

I would not recommend‼️If it had 0 stars I'll give it to them, I seen this place on LA bucketlist on Ig my wife and I decided to check this place out and WE DID NOT HAVE A GOOD EXPERIENCE! where do I start, Im thinking I'm go see a pretty view on the roof boy was I wrong the place was filthy from the tables down to the restrooms. The table where the waitress sat us was sticky with syrup all over it, even got on my arm🥴 they never clean the table so we decided to go to another table.When it was time to order something the waitress would say there out of it for example they were out of friut etc and as far as drinks they didnt have mints for the mojitos they didnt have anything in fact the place was pretty empty. finally We ordered I had the salmon potatoes I told the waitress that i didn't want mushroom sauce on my mash potatoes and what do you know mushrooms suace on my food. Flys where everywhere I couldn't really enjoy it. The food is not good my wife had lamb chops and it was chewy I told the waitress that I didn't have a good experince all she could say was sorry. The bathroom looked flooded so much water was on the floor the toliet had a pound of tissue in it if you flush it would of flooded i even went to the mens and they restroom was way worse I ask was there another restroom she said no I ended up going to the waffle and chicken joint on thd ground level they were nice enough to let me use there restroom.. I WILL NOT BE BACK WORST EXPERIENCE EVER I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEY NEED TO BE...
