Taco Dollar — Restaurant in Los Angeles

I recently visited Taco dollar in westchester on May 17, 2024 around 9pm , looking forward to enjoying some tacos and mulita. Unfortunately, what I encountered was shocking and deeply concerning. After taking a few bites of my first half mulita, I noticed a baby cockroach emerging from my second half. This was incredibly alarming and disgusting. My immediate reaction was disbelief and nausea. Looking back, it makes sense. The staff did not wear gloves or hair nets, raising questions about their overall cleanliness. If basic hygiene practices are neglected, it’s not surprising that they might also have pest issues. I immediately threw the food away and decided I could never eat from this food truck again. This experience was utterly disappointing and concerning. I strongly advise others to avoid this food truck until they can demonstrate a commitment to proper hygiene and food safety. Last night on a lark I stopped at this food truck not knowing what to expect. I ordered a carne asada burrito- wet style. I'm a native Angelino who's enjoyed eating a wide variety of Mexican food my entire life. The burrito was one of the best I've ever had. Very large, with a delicious, unique seasoned flavor and just the right mix of homemade brown-red ranchero sauce with melted cheese and a few tortilla chips wedged along the buritto's side, bathing in the ranchero sauce.
