Tacos Manzano — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Tacos Manzano might be a hole in the wall, but man is it amazing and authentic! A friend recommended the restaurant and he's been going for about 10 years.

You can't go wrong with the regular burrito. It comes with beans, rice, chopped onions and cilantro, and choice of meat. I love lengua, and they make theirs right. If you're not as adventurous the chicken and asada are safe bets. Tacos and tortas don't disappoint either. If you're not into the usual, they also have plenty of traditional dishes like mole, enfrijoladas, and more. I also really enjoyed their selection of curtido(pickled veggies), salsas, and garnishes found in the dining area.

The restaurant itself isn't large, and there isn't much parking, but the inside is homey and clean. Once you get your order in, service is pretty quick. Definitely worth a visit, but you'll become a...

Huaraches are fantastic!🌮 And for $7 it’s a lunch for women. They’re like an open faced thicker tortilla thing; almost a large oblong open faced taco but with a thicker tortilla base, grilled, so soft and slightly crispy, refried beans spread, meat, cheese. Huge - like 9” long and 4” wide. Nice lunch!

I ordered carnitas but I think they gave me ground beef, but it was FULL of flavor! Well spiced meat, respect👍 With some verde and onions (I don’t do cilantro) it was very satisfying. I’d have liked some pico de gallo which they’re didn’t have out, I’ll ask next time.

The chicken tamale was fine. Authentic. Mild. Small. Won’t order again but that’s ok.

One star for the courteous order taker, No more stars for poorly prepared food. I Ordered 2 orders of caldo de res. They were horrible, They came with one small piece of meat NO POTATOES at all NO CARROTS at all a few slices of squash a small piece of corn on cobb. and a huge amount of cabbage. The preparer did not do his / her job correctly and prepare it with all ingredients. Manager insisted I come back to restaurant to show him the misprepared food before I would get refunded, I have eaten HERE many times but that I told the manager this would be the LAST time because of his poor handling of the situation. and refund. GOOD BY TACOS MANZANO....POOR FOOD/...
