Uncle Andre's BBQ — Restaurant in Los Angeles

For over thirty years, UNCLE ANDRE'S BBQ has prepared excellent, (maybe San Fernando Valley's best) Southern style, BBQ ribs, catfish, and fried chicken. This small, stripmall eatery can be a very busy place, so it is best to pre-order. The chef and owner, Marcus Meade, will follow your dietary preferences.

There are no vegan entrees on the menu. As I am a vegan, this is a second hand review.

For years, my wife and I have driven 30 minutes to pickup her fried chicken dinner. The order: a half bird (all white meat) with a non-seasoned light flour crust, coleslaw, corn on the cob and cornbread. My wife loves the crisp crusted skin and juicy white meat; always freezes half the chicken to enjoy a few days later. When asked, she smiled and said, "It's as good as it always been."

Uncle ANDRE'S is a carry-out restaurant, but offers limited seating in their intimate dining room. We always bring her dinner home. Meals may be ordered for pickup by most of the delivery services. The restaurant does not accept credit cards.

Uncle Andre's BBQ is a solid offering in the Southern style of cooking. An Old School BBQ Joint is how best to describe it. The portions are adequate and prepared well. The prices are on Par for a BBQ Joint type establishment. Family Owned and operated is a plus. The staff friendly and the service was great! The Baby Backed Ribs we tender with good flavor and not heavily sauced. The Brisket was very good. Not mushy or fatty at all. Actually kind of crispy in places, well cut and tender! Sides are the Usual Suspects: Mac & Cheese, Cole Slaw, Baked Beans and Corn on the Cobb were today's choices, not bad at all. Other Sides: French Fries, Potato Salad etc. on the next visit. Overall a nice Spot for some good Old Fashioned Backyard BBQ the ambiance was nice with R&B for Background music. Some Celebrity memorabilia and photographs adorned the walls. we order take out literally over 200$ in food and the girl that answerd our take our was so rude! i cannot believe how rude this girl was she couldn't even give me a price on the food so we have no idea and they kept telling us to call back with in 20mins. I will never return or order from you guys EVER again. this is ridiculous i get it if your busy but the girl that did the orders shouldnt be taking them. I work in the service industry and this would never be tolerated.
