Yen Sushi & Sake — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Came here for lunch with my mom And was very pleasantly surprised. They have lunch specials everyday, and the specials are decently priced and well portioned. The service is also great! Polite, professional and nice without being over bearing. We ordered the salmon skin salad and the salmon lunch box set. The presentation is very appealing and looks like they took care when plating it. The salmon plate came with rice, salad, miso soup, California roll and tempura. My mom Was super impressed. Everything was delicious and you can tell they take care when they make your food. Also I love how it’s conveniently located in a little strip mall since parking is really hard in that area. This was an okay dinner experience. My best friend had gotten off of work and we were in the mood for sushi. For reason, we weren't really feeling it. I mean, the menu looked really good, priced were decent but when we started eating... it was just okay. Like, nothing to write a long review-okay.

We visited on week night, and although it's a small space, they had room to seat us right away. It's one of those smaller spaces where you order a drink you get the can. Not necessarily a fan of that, but it was what it was.

Would I go back? ...

This restaurant shares the parking lot with Albertson's and Coffee Bean. Easy parking is always a plus!

The bento box is good and filling. I had the teriyaki beef, and it came with tempura, salad, rice, two piece of rolls and fruit. I've also tried the sashimi chef's choice and the pieces of fish were fresh and thick. I did not enjoy the tempura roll because the fish inside became overcooked and dry... however I do want to go back to try their daily specials.

The place is tiny and narrow... and feels kinda cramped. But it's a good...
