Update: went in recently and was super disappointed. It seems like the is restaurant is following the same path the original location did- up for a while and then a consistent bottom shelf decline. This restaurant went from being Country Guy’s most anticipated restaurant to meh. The sandwich had barely any protein. I felt like I was still eating the complimentary pita bread. The dipping oil for the pita, was all oil. We were saddened to see this. The fresh pita and dipping oil was always the highlight. The service- these servers need some training around the BR area. Poker face only works at the casino and church. If the Mean Girls look is in, Mean Girls would not be proud. We hope the past two experiences were flukes.
January 2022- The cuisine is in the top three Mediterranean in Baton Rouge. The Lebanese tea is delicious. Small place compared to what the original site used to be. They do offer pizzas for those customers who aren’t fans of this...
Read moreThe customer service, quality and quantity of the food here has declined drastically. Romans at one time was always the best go to for Greeks and Lebanese. The Roman Salad has decreased in size and they have removed all together a few of those special obedient which made the salad really tasty. The yogurt dressing is watered down, literally. Customer service will always win a business over even if the food isn’t good, but customer service here is null and void. No friendliness, no empathy, and no courtesy. I must say there are many other restaurants with the same cuisine and but better taste in food, better quality, good customer service, and a...
Read moreThe décor and atmosphere of the restaurant is very reminiscent of a mediterranean restaurant. Combination platter with chicken and gyro was delicious, however the portion sizes are not enough for the price that they charge. It is HIGHLY recommended that you order ahead of time during lunch, especially if you're on break, as it took them 15-20 to get my food prepared when I arrived around 2:00pm on a Friday.
This location is better served for a sit down family dinner or gathering with friends. As far as lunch goes, it is overpriced and slow. For lunch, I'll stick to Serop's Express right down the...
