Their food is amazing. Comes out hot and fresh! There about 6 pool tables and they go for $6 an hour. Their beers are a great selection! What a team!!!! The cook is one of the best beings I have met! I brought my brother and friends here for their first time and we come back! I enjoy my time here Below is the brisket quesadilla and Hummus

Great gem in Louisville. Went here when they weren’t as busy, and workers were very chill and down to earth. The food and drinks were great. Looks like they’ve got a fantastic set up for Fri/Sat night and games w live music. Prices and happy hour specials were good! Outdoor patio is wonderful.

I would give them a zero if I could but that isn’t possible. My husband and myself had heard very good things about the food here. We decided to go for dinner with our kids. After doing some research to make sure it would be okay to take our children we could not find anything that said we could not so we decided to call and verify. When we called the number that is posted on the internet it was disconnected. Seeing that the name of this establishment is a bar and grill we decided that we would take a chance and go. Once arriving we were asked if we were looking for the restaurant next door and we said no we were not. We were then told we could not enter because they do not serve people under 21. Seeing Facebook says you are an American restaurant as well as a bar and grill this confused me. My husband then said we tried to call and verify that we could come with our children but the phone number didn’t work. The employee then stated we don’t have a phone. What business doesn’t have a phone. I guess one that does not want to serve customers. If we had wanted to put in an order for take out I guess that isn’t an option either. No matter how good the food is here we will never be buying anything from here. I wonder how much money they have lost not having a phone for people to place an order. Oh well guess they don’t want to stay...

Gotta love Barret Bar! This Germantown gem is a short walk from Bardstown road, but feels like a neighborhood bar. The large and comfortable outside area is dog-friendly and smoker-friendly, with a full bar and tv, a heated area in the winter, and table service year round. Inside are plenty of tables, barstools, as well as 6 pool tables. Drinks are reasonably priced, and Coors Banquet cans are always $3. The food is really good! Just be sure you know when the kitchen closes (earlier on weekdays). The staff are always friendly and helpful, service is good and fast, and though the place gets busy on weekends, it is never crowded or too full. Music is usually playing in the background but not too loud to have a conversation. There are enough TVs to make Barret a good place to watch a big game, election, debate, or other event, but it (fortunately) doesn't usually have a sports-bar feel (unless one of the local teams is having a big game). Overall, Barret Bar and Grill has a diverse clientele, quality food, drinks, and service, and is one of the best overall spots...

Here's the thing. I loved the food. But I went in with my daughter. I've never had a problem anywhere a place serves food and is a bar. But the server was not having it. I told him, she's my daughter. He said it's the law, you have to be 21 to be in a bar. I'm like can I place a to go order, (three times). I asked, if she steps out, can I place it? He just said, she can't be in here. The regulations do give the owner the right, (as they should - it's their business) to say if I could have my 19yo daughter with me at a bar/ grill. But it is much easier to say, hey if you're under 21, we don't allow it. Customer protests. Server should reply with, yeah sorry, it's our rules. Instead of the confrontational, she can't be in here. And totally ignoring my request for food, if she steps out. And I get it, I've been a ass before. Young dumb, it happens to us all. But I wasn't being an ass, I was surprised about it. And just wanted to order food. Anyway, long story short, don't try to go in with your kid, lol. They...
