5 STAR WORTHY
First things first… Ask for Chasity as she’s a rock star of a server and simply outstanding at taking care of your needs.
My wife and I have highly been anticipating the opening of this location as were huge fans of the locations in Alabama, in fact it’s one of our go to spots when we’re there visiting.
For starters it’s awesome to see what this new restaurant has done with the space from when it was a bbq joint. Somehow they managed to make it new and vibrant (I’ll be honest I wasn’t looking forward to the space but was impressed) space that totally made you forget about what it was before.
All the staff are extremely attentive and aware of their surroundings and do a wonderful job at making you feel welcome. If I wasn’t already a fan of the food I’d be back based on that alone.
Now, I’ll admit it’s still opening week so the new and shiny hasn’t worn off but coming from someone who has a background in opening and training staff for a new restaurant I will say this team, has got the stuff and I’m looking forward with watching them grow.
Let’s get into the important things, the food!
I got the shrimp and grits and had a side biscuit with gravy. The biscuit was warm, fluffy, bursting with flavor and yet had a crispy crust that was absolutely lovely. This alone will have me coming back for more.
The shrimp and grits were good but needed to be eaten as a whole as the flavors all played off one another.
The Kiki wrap that my wife had was outstanding! Fluffy eggs, juicy County style sausage gooey cheesy all wrapped up in a warm flour tortilla… simply Divine.
We are looking forward to coming here again and again and you best believe I’ll be telling everyone about this spot as well.
Thank you to BBB and all their staff this place is incredible and we’re happy to finally have a location here in Louisville.
Pro tip: come early as after 10 there is a wait plus to top it off they have $5 drink specials...
Read moreMyself and a group of friends visited BBB on Wednesday, June 28, 2023. Admittedly we were a pretty large group for a Wednesday morning, about 15 of us for an early brunch. The hostess was pretty nice and got us our menus however our server Sydney, was visually annoyed as soon as she saw us. huffing when we asked if we could push two tables together for our large group and being snappish when I asked for a booster for my toddler. Our drink order arrived after about 30 minutes and I asked if I could place my order since thr kids were getting antsy. Sydney replied "You are going to have to wait I have another table to wait on" I was shocked at both her rudeness and the tone she took with a paying customer who simply asked if they could place an order after having been in the restaurant for half an hour. It was all downhill from there. Kids food arrived way before adults, whi wated over an hour for food. Orders were incorrect, Sydney continued to snap at anyone who asked for anything I went to thr bar and got my own napkins and silverware. We never complained about how long we waited and tried to be understanding of the strain. A large table can cause. Our graciousness was met with annoyance and rude comments by our server. Finally a member from our party spoke to the manager who discounted our meals. The food was delicious and the atmosphere and seating were nice aside from sticky floors. The service was the absolute worst. I will not be returning nor can I recommend an establishment that treats paying customers like you are doing them a favor to anyone looking for a local breakfast spot to patronize. Sydney still included gratuity on all of our checks though there was very little to be great for given the service...
Read moreAnother great Yelp find. Stumbled upon this gem driving to another breakfast stop. Scored!!
Such a busy place but got seated twice as quick as estimated. Our waiter was even conscientious enough to pop by and let us know he got a few tables at once and that he’d get us water and then take the tables in order.
The worst thing about this place is making a choice on what to try. The hubs get the Pecan “Cluster" Shortstack. This boasts of chocolate chip pancake, chocolate sauce, caramel, and chopped pecans. He chose the country ham as his meat side. He loved them and so did I. The pancakes stayed mysterious hot throughout the whole meal.
I ordered the avocado toast and added a side of spicy bacon. Wheat toast with avocado, pico de gallo, arugula, chili flakes, two poached eggs made up this beautiful dish. I chose it in order to not get too full. I failed. It was sooo much food and I over indulged and there was still plenty of food left.
Meals are served with a complimentary plate of strawberry, raspberry, and peach jams. House made hot sauce. Jalapeño, hot honey, and garlic.
We also got the big bloody and asked for it spicy. It was simple and excellent. Make sure you really want spicy if you ask for it.
Others in our party split the big bad breakfast and a side of mild bacon. It’s menu description is three eggs scrambled, bacon, sausage, ham, onions, potatoes, and cheddar. With a side of sausage gravy and mild bacon if...
