After hearing good things around town, I decided to brave the cheesecake line at 1015am on the Monday before Christmas. Having been told when I called that it’s best to arrive 45 minutes prior to open, I did just that. When I finally got inside I was taken aback by the lack of bakery smell and empty display cases. They only have select slices of cheesecake available individually unless you pre order. Ok. Without any help from the person at the counter (who I ended up seeing on a local Facebook group afterwards and it was actually the owner) I selected 7 pieces of cheesecake, none of which were the flavor I waited in line for. In fact she almost made it seem like I should be rushing to order and her only exchange with me was to tell me that’s all they had. $44, 90 minutes out of the work day, 0% customer service and 7 slices of cheesecake later, I have somehow survived the experience. The actual cheesecake itself is creamy and very nice. The flavors and additions are mostly boxed toppings, cookies, candy, etc., i.e. Little Debbie Christmas tree (which was awful btw). Creative ideas, some not so great in execution. Beautiful presentations. People in line behind me coming from Indiana looked like they bought most of what was left. The woman in line behind them came from Lexington and I felt bad when she was talking about all the flavors she was excited for after I didn’t see any of them when I got inside. There were only about 8 people ahead of me in line, but at least 25 behind me and they ended up selling out about 20 minutes after I left. Being from the northeast I get that things move a little differently here. I’m used to going to a bakery or a local establishment close to the holidays to pick up things last minute and there are always options. But I’m sorry, I just don’t get it. Why doesn’t it smell like cheesecake? (It actually smelled kind of bad inside the establishment) Why was there almost nothing to purchase? I don’t get it. I’m glad I tried it, but I would never go back. But hey if it works for...
Read moreWe ordered the sampler at a cost of $67 which contains 8 slices of cheesecake. If one is looking for a firm, old school cheesecake look elsewhere. The consistency of these slices ranged from very soft to medium at best.
Our sampler contained:
Lemon raspberry- pleasant taste, light cheesecakes flavor, more raspberry lemon.
orange dream cycle - another light flavor in line with #1 but light on the orange and cheesecake.
A Samoas girlscout cookie slice with coconut. This one had a bolder , more rich flavor. I found this to be one of the better slices.
peanut butter white chocolate is heavy on the peanut butter, somewhat dry but rich tasting. This was one of the heavier weight cheesecakes. Expecting heavy PB taste, this delivers.
strawberry topped with what feels like strawberry gel. This was one of the firmer cheesecake slices.
banana pudding was nearly the consistency of banana pudding. No cheesecake flavor, definitely banana pudding. Falls or plops apart when removing from the box, super soft.
Caramel oreo was nearly tasteless considering all the caramel and oreo it's supposed to contain. I was expecting rich, even sweet.. so this was a disappointment.
Birthday cake. Another disappointment! This one features sprinkles and looks the part of cake! One bite leaves you wondering where the magician that conjured this out of air is hiding. Or like the old Wendy's where's the beef lady should pop out and ask where's the cake flavor?
Overall, we were let down by this sampler. The ratings and reviews are not in line with our experience or expectations for cheesecake. We will not be...

The slices are significantly smaller than I remember them ever being before. My almond joy slice looked like it even had a bite sized chunk missing from the tip (pics included for reference). I arrived 30 mins before open to wait in line and by the time I got inside (about 50 mins later) they were out of 2/4 flavors I wanted. Not their fault of course just a heads up- you need to preorder on Mondays if you want specific flavors.
This cheesecake is amazing! I’ve been following them on social media for a lonnnng time and finally got a chance to come downtown; I’ve been back multiple times since. They have a wide variety of flavors and the menu changes weekly. My favorites so far have been the German Chocolate Cheesecake Cake & the Oreo. Their cookies are also stuffed with cheesecake and are delicious! Make sure you arrive right when they open because they sell out FAST. I tried to go once 2 hours after opening and they only had 2 flavors left :/ Also- this is not a sit down restaurant. There are no tables/chairs inside. It is...
