Really used to love coming here; my wife and I love pretty much everything on the menu, but have had two not so great experiences back to back now.
First time, we were treating ourselves to a night out after a few weeks of eating at home. Ordered the Sept seasonal pretzel bun sliders, siracha wings, and a side of broccoli. The wings are typically killer, and my wife had never had them, so I convinced her that we should share them even though she’s not typically a fan of bone-in wings. Well folks, those suckers still had feathers on them. Curly, tiny, plenty un-plucked feathers on more than half the wings. Our waitress was very apologetic and mgmt kindly took the wings off of our check. Unfortunately, the food runner then brought out my sliders and side of broccoli with the broccoli still in the dang plastic bag they steam them in (lol). The burgers themselves were pretty average, a little too dry, but it happens ¯(ツ)/¯. Both the waitress and runner were apologetic, and I told them it was fine, but this was a bummer that made me less eager to come back.
A few weeks later, tonight, my wife puts in a carry out order. Pulls up to the parking spot, texts the number with her name and the car, and waits ~15 mins as other orders are carried out to cars that came later, while other customers walk up to the window for how long they’ve been waiting. Wife goes up to the window and stands there for a few mins while the kids inside hang out and talk, not noticing her standing there. She eventually got their attention and they handed her the order that was indeed just chilling there waiting to be taken out.
I dunno, seems like the ship isn’t being as tightly run as it used to and it’s a bummer because I used to call this location one of my favorites. Hope the new folks get trained up and things get a bit better. Will try again in October and see what’s what.

Our server was attentive @ 1st but from the time we ordered, it was All downhill from there on. I ordered fried pickles & my friend ordered the chicken bites grilled. I asked if they were breaded (grilled) & was told that they were so i didn't order them. I broke down & ordered my fav, the Crab Rangoon Sushi Roll. We then had 4 other people join us. Our server was attentive @ 1st & then again, that was it! They ordered & the service once again, plummeted. Finally, out comes my sushi roll Waayyy Before our pickles & my friend's grilled chicken bites came out! It was cold but we were Starving so we all dug in. Then came the chicken & pickles (which should have come out 1st & a Lot sooner 1st bc I waited to order the sushi roll! Anyway, our water glasses stayed empty even when we asked for more. Our other friends food Finally came & she forgot one friend's entree completely! She did take it off the check. She never checked back with us & when we questioned how the food came out, she pretty much said & acted like it wasn't her fault & maybe it wasn't but she was not @ all concerned not apologetic, which I thought was rude.... We went to the bar & got our own refills & when the checks came, then she turned into our server again. She was pleasant & acted like nothing ever happened.. Strange, to me, I thought. Anyway, some of us had been in this business before & she could have made a Killing off of us but instead, received mediocre tips. It was Very Disappointing... I'm sure I'll be back, as I know the Proprietor, which we mentioned in the beginning. You'd think she would have made sure we had decent service but it was just Bad! Bruce would have been extremely disappointed as well, I'm sure. Sorry, Bruce but it just...
Read moreI had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday at Drake's last night, and it was a great experience! The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was festive.
For my main course, I had the sushi platter, which was made with tuna, crab, avocado, and cucumber, and topped with crispy panko bread crumbs. It was crispy, savory, and delicious. The perfect way to start my birthday celebration off.
I also had the fried pickles, which were a fun and creative twist on a classic dish. The pickles were breaded with spicy breading, and had a cool dill ranch dipping sauce. They were the perfect combination of salty, sweet, and spicy.
To drink, I had a glass of the house water which was smooth and refreshing.
The service at #Drake's was excellent. Our waiter was attentive and friendly, and he made sure that we had everything we needed.
The atmosphere at Drake's was festive and fun. There was a live DJ playing music, and the restaurant was decorated with balloons and streamers. It was the perfect place to celebrate my birthday!
