I hadn't been to Kerns in years, but after an less-than-mouth watering experience at the Bambi Bar, I decided to give it a try. Why did I wait so frickin' long? The cheeseburger blows the Bambi Burger off of Bardstown Road; the service was friendly and quick; everything was clean; and the people were just downright nice. The only thing that seemed to be updated there since about 1990 was her cute Free People-style top. Food was simple but good and cheap. As a woman on the younger side, I felt very uncomfortable. It's hard to see a future for such an antiquated place as I cannot imagine too many people under 60 wanting to frequent this type of establishment. If you don't fit the aforementioned profile, I would...
