Big Bar — Restaurant in Louisville

I had an absolutely ridiculous experience at Big Bar last night—for the second time. After FOUR HOURS of peacefully enjoying myself, I was suddenly and inexplicably bounced for no reason. I wasn’t causing any disruption, wasn’t drunk, and wasn’t violating any rules.

I was simply talking and enjoying myself with friends I hadn’t seen in a long time when I was blindsided by this nonsense. The only explanation? Revenge.

This isn’t the first time this has happened. I left a 1-star review on August 3 for the exact same treatment. During that visit, I had a similar experience involving the exact same customer. Earlier in the night, I ran into someone who has close relationships with management and the owner, and just like before, I was suddenly being escorted out. Coincidence? I highly doubt it again.

To make matters worse, here’s a picture of the same guy again—the one with connections—who seems to have the power to get people removed on a whim.

If this happens again, I will be contacting the ABC (Alcoholic Beverage Control) to formally report this venue. If I don’t receive a proper response, I will escalate the matter to the Attorney General’s office in Frankfort for review, as I am building a case against Big Bar.

Big Bar, hold your staff accountable and stop allowing personal biases to dictate who gets to stay and who gets unfairly thrown out. This is unacceptable, and I won’t hesitate to take further...

Big bar is an excellent bar to visit on Bardstown Road. Drinks are reasonavly prices and strong. Innaddtition to the interior space, Big Bar has excellent outdoor/sidewalk seating, which has patio heaters and seeming open and populated year round.

Big Bar is now even bigger bar with the incorporation of additional space. It has added a nice dance floor and overlooking loft area and I believe a second bathroom. The crowd is always lively, fun and most importantly accepting and non-threatening. The patrons are predominantly from the LGBTQ+ community but it is also a mixed crowd and all kind people are welcomed. I believe anyone would enjoy...

The very nice and fun place... but this Saturday 10/ago/24 I asked for mimosa and who attended me did not fill the base with the champagne he was carrying... when he told him that it was missing in bad shape he filled it with orange juice... I told him that he was not going to pay it that way that he had to do it as it is…and what he did was that he looked for the security people to take me out... I asked the security people that I needed to talk to the manager or the owner of the place and they told me no and they took me out... it's a shame that employees like that work...
