On the night of 05/28 I ordered a pizza online. Of course only after the order was placed and my debit card instantly charged did the Papa John's site tell me the store was closed and the pizza wouldn't be delivered until the next day, 18 hours later! Since of course the site does not allow you cancel the order, and the store was apparently closed, I reached out through the website and said NOT to process this order and to refund my money...I did not want that night's dinner the following day.
Skip ahead to 7:15PM the following day, and I discovered an old Papa John's pizza that was placed in front of my front door about 8 hours earlier! Not on the bench at the side door - the instructions that are saved in my account in their site - since my front door is purely decorational and does not work. No one ever rang a door bell, I got no email saying this was delivered, not even a text message. And never would've accepted it. Nor would I have seen it outside my front door, since it does not work and so I always have in my instructions to use my side door, which is also street facing.
Emailed customer service as soon as I realized this on 05/29. Literally no response at all as of 06/01.
$25.25 for a pizza I told them to cancel, but that they still delivered anyway, 18 hours later, to the wrong location, with no knock or notice, and that wasn't discovered for another 8 hours. And no response at all for this. I'll never waste my time with Papa John's again...it's far from the first time they've stolen my money for food I didn't want, wasn't delivered, was entirely wrong, or any number of issues, especially with...
Read moreHave always ordered here normally I pay cash this time I decided to use my credit card for my online order. I did the BOGO pizza special my online order was for a large pepperoni extra cheese pizza and a 2 Liter. My order was SUPPOSED to be 2 large pizzas and a 2 Liter with the BOGO special.
I called to ask a question and the disgruntled manager not only shouted "well it ain't my fault!!" didn't listen to what I was saying nor did she try to answer the question. All that was on her mind seemed to be "it ain't my fault!" Now I'm not about to argue with a grown adult over a raggedy pizza but what I will do is call corporate. A simple "sorry something went down but not sure what it is" would've been ok.
What gets me is both labels on my pizza did not have a break down in price as it usually does. Just had a pizza and 2 Liter not itemized it only shows the total price. If you do decide to go here I suggest reading the reviews. Had I saw the previous reviews I would've ordered Chinese takeout that also delivers in this area. They got me once but I will be telling all my friends and family about these crooks and I would suggest you pay cash and ask for a full receipt. Something is rotten in Denmark haven't figured out what it is , but something isn't right...
Read moreThe Papa John's restaurant was founded in 1984 when "Papa" John Schnatter knocked out a broom closet in the back of his father's tavern, Mick's Lounge, in Jeffersonville, Indiana.[5] He then sold his 1971 Camaro Z28 to purchase US$1,600 worth of used pizza equipment and began selling pizzas to the tavern's customers out of the converted closet.[6] His pizzas proved sufficiently popular that a year later he moved into an adjoining space. Dipping sauce specifically for pizza was invented by Papa John's Pizza that same year, and has since become popular when eating pizza, especially the crust.[7] The company went public in 1993. A year later it had 500 stores, and by 1997 it had opened 1,500 stores.[8] In 2009, Schnatter bought the Camaro back after offering a reward of $250,000...
