Listen, I do not write bad reviews. I’ve worked in the food industry. I know how it is. I am very patient with restaurants but my experience at this pizza hut location 12/9/2024 was atrocious. I called to place a carry out order. I ordered a dinner box with the medium pan pizza, cheese sticks, and cinnamon sticks. I wanted my pizza to have alfredo sauce, chicken and bacon…that’s it. I arrived at the store to pick up and pay for my order. I sent my friend inside with the money to get it and she comes out with a personal pan pizza with chicken sausage and bacon and the cheese sticks. Even if the toppings were what I ordered, how’s that going to feed 2 adults and a 2 year old? At this time, we had my 2 year old son and her 8 month old daughter in the car and I was not feeling good, so she went back in to have the order corrected. A couple minutes later, she comes out and says that the guy told her I had to come in to fix it. WHY?!? So I go in and despite my aggrevation, I remain calm and patient with the employee. I explain that I did not order a personal pan, I ordered the dinner box with the medium pan pizza, cheese sticks, and cinnamon sticks. The guy goes “We’ve already got this made so I’m not even going to ring you up for it”. Mind you, I’m not feeling good so I go back to my car… my friend goes to get our food. She comes back out and the medium pan pizza had chicken sausage and bacon. At this point I am absolutely livid! I understand making a mistake once but to make the same mistake on a REMAKE is simply carelessness. I had already left because I trusted it was correct this time so I go back to the store and I call to speak to the manager and this is where things smooth out. I asked for a refund and then realized that we weren’t even given a receipt. This tells me that the guy who took my order knew that he made a mistake and tried to cover it up. She goes to reprint our receipt and come to find out WE WEREN’T EVEN RANG UP CORRECTLY. The manager was very upset with the employee understandably so. She brings me my money back and assures us that she will personally make us the correct pizza. She brings it out and finally well over an hour after I placed the order we have what we originally ordered plus cinnamon rolls for the MASSIVE inconvenience. To the manager, we appreciate you for making this right for us which is why I rated 4 stars instead of one and calling corporate. We took the messed up food to the homeless shelter because I am not one to throw away food. Read moreWorst Delivery Experience Ever. Driver arrived and couldn't provide $23 in change for my $50, which was the only cash I had in the house. We realized that I was short food as well. Driver tries to convince me I'm due less food than I am, I was short a whole dish of pasta and an order of bread-sticks, he tried to say I was just missing bread-sticks. I call in to correct things and am treated like an annoyance. I decide I'm going to go to the store in person. I arrive and meet George, the manager. George is completely unaware of my issue and I have to explain what has happened so far. George tries to tell me that drivers are not even allowed to take $50 bills to explain away my initial trouble. This is a lie. I've placed corporate orders with Pizza Hut numerous times and paid with 100$ bills with no issue every time. George goes on to say that he cannot offer me a refund because the card has already been "run". I explain to him that I'm familiar with how credit cards work and that he needs to reverse my transaction immediately. Suddenly George can give me a refund and not just store credit. George also refused to provide a last name, business card, or any way to further help identify my issue with corporate. Shelbyville had no record of the order. i went home and looked at the receipt showing the switch then. i felt sorry for the manager at shelbyville as he tried repeatedly to find my order during a very busy period before the louisville football game. i then after viewing my receipt sas the switch and went to brownsboro. 46 dollar worth of pizza. they put pineapple on my wife's pizza which she does not like absolutely. of course this flavored her pizza and after a couple of bites, ate a ham sandwich instead. also they mixed up the ingredients additionally, putting some of her choices on mine and some of my choices on hers. what a sad situation. You no longer talk to a person, having to order online is my experience. In talking with our clients, those that eat pizza, once enjoyed the pizza hut experience, but having noticed a declination in service, seek other pizza places. I like pizza hut pizza, the thin crust exceptional for us, but this experience has caused us to rethink our choices. Most sad.
