First warm day of the season that I was actually in town for called for sitting on the patio of a restaurant. I decided to take my bonus kids and dog as Roostersâ patio is dog friendly. I called ahead to make sure and yes! Dogs are welcome on the patio! I also asked if there was a wait for the patio and was assured there was not. Great. We live about 5 minutes away. When we first arrived, there were 4 women chatting at the hostess desk but not seeming to notice the customers gathering in to attempt to come in for dining. I finally asked for service. I noticed there were a lot of adults/no children in the establishment and I asked if under 21 could be served here. (It was my first and probably my last time at Roosters.) The hostesses were confused by the question. I asked again, giving an example. She told me no. I was shocked and started to walk out. Another hostess said, she was wrong, they could serve under 21 yr - it was an âeveryone restaurant.â I said there would be 3 people and 1 dog, so we needed a patio seat. I asked her if I could meet her on the patio as the kids were outside with the dog. The hostess asked why I wasnât coming in to follow her - so I asked if Dogs were allowed inside, she said no. I again repeated that I had 2 kids and 1 dog outside so I would meet her on the patio. She shrugged her shoulders and walked away. I went to the patio only to see the patio was filled with people. She flags me down and says she was wrong, there is a wait. For 2-4 hostesses at the front, they couldnât keep track of if the tables were filled or not? Okay, weâll wait. How long is the approximate wait? The hostess says, âas long as people are here, so like when they are done eating.â What? Can you give me a time approx? We waited for 10 minutes and a table freed up. We were seated, ordered food, and ate. Food was okay. The waitress brought the food but never returned again until it was time to deliver the bill. After we finished, I sent the kids and dog to the car to wait as it was very windy and very hectic. The waitress never returned to finish the paying transaction. I went to the hostess desk and handed the receipt to the hostess and stated i didnât want it to blow away. That was probably a mistake on my part as she said to me, âwhat am I supposed to do with this?â I asked her if she could give it to my waitress as I didnât want it to blow away. She shrugged her shoulders again.
The next nice day, Iâll find...
Read moreWent here because my wife loves their mini corn dogs and this new location is super close to our house. I ordered the medium wings and a quesadilla. The wings were very greasy and I couldn't taste the spice so I asked for some more sauce on the side. I drenched the wings in the sauce and still, no spice.. Medium is a few notches up from mild so I was disappointed that there wasn't even a hint of burn. Moving onto the quesadilla. I asked to sub the provolone and mozzarella cheeses for more cheddar cheese instead. The quesadillas appeared to be huge but it was mostly tortilla and barely any cheese. The grilled chicken inside was charred and had no flavor. As i was trying to Dr. Up my quesadilla the server comes and grabs my wings without asking if I was done first. I had only eaten one before i added sauce and then a half of one after the sauce. Since I wasn't satisfied I planned to tell her. But instead of engaging me when I expressed my concerns she just asked if I wanted a box or if she could toss them. Lol we were with a fussy baby so i decided not to go postal assuming she would fix it on the check. I didn't finish the dry, tasteless quesadillas either. Anyway the bill came and nothing was comped, and I was charged for the extra cheddar even though I omitted two other cheeses. We will not be back. The 2 stars is for the decor, comfortable temperature and prices. This may be a place to drink and then eat as the quality of the food may improve...
