The thing about Clean Eatz is the dishes they come up with for the meal plans are either incredible or complete garbage. It is a true crapshoot on the quality of the food. And you can't tell just by reading the ingredients. I've made some poor choices on my 21 meal plan orders where I get 9 of one thing I think is gonna be amazing and 2 of one thing I think will be okay but still wanna try". And of course that one thing ends up being out of this world while the thing I got 9 of is just okay. And usually the worst it is is "okay". I've only had one meal that was inedible and that was the General Tso's because the breading was undercooked and so it was doughy and chalky and just not good. Plus they really aren't great at using rice or potatoes as the "bed", it's almost always undercooked. But then they have dishes like Chicken Oscar or BBQ Chicken Lasagna that are phenomenal. Like I said it's about a 50/50 chance you get something you love vs something that is purely sustainance and nothing more. Also they have some of the best pizza because their cauliflower crust is next level. And honestly I'm not typically big on eating leftover pizza crust, but I eat my crust everytime with the Clean Eatz ones because they're so good. Sigh I just wish there was this consistency with their meal plans.
With that being said, the reason I give it 4 stars and not less is because one, they have great customer service, and two, they serve the purpose I sought after them for. I work a lot of hours and then I go to the gym almost every day, and so by the time I get done I just don't have the time or energy to cook before I go to bed in a couple hours. I'd rather use that time to decompress. Not spend an hour cooking and dirtying up a bunch of dishes. With Clean Eatz, I have regained this time back. Heating up their meals is quick and easy. They always give me the nutrients I need, especially since I order extra protein, and they're honestly affordable compared to going out to eat. It's about a little over $200 for me each order for 21 meals and that's with extra protein and a small tip. If you don't get extra protein it's much more affordable, so the price is easily worth the convenience and it is why I always come back to them.
At the end of the day, it's a solid business and one I have no issues recommending to people if they're busy like me and need to get some time in their day back. If this company came up with consistently solid recipes and had cooks who know how to cook some of the side items better like rice, potatoes and asparagus, this place could...
Read moreI visit here for my meal prep. This place has really helped me stay on track with my nutrition goals . I can walk right in pick from the meals on hand and grab some healthy snacks too and be done in 5 mins. They have the first cauliflower pizza that I could actually eat after I tried every one from the grocery store freezer. I was pleasantly surprised they had low calorie protein infused treats as well . The protein cookies and the protein cookie sandwich satiate my sweet tooth without me feeling too guilty, and I like the crunch protein infused snack mixes they have too (birthday cake is my fave). Do I think it’s the most gourmet food on the planet , no and you shouldn’t expect that at this price point, but it’s just fine for me and my fitness goals. I could care less about truffle oil, and the finest wild caught fish I just want a reasonable price point to help me lose weight. I strongly believe for the money it’s quality food , low calorie food, and convenient . If I tried to go to the store and cook/prep the same meals with grocery prices so high I don’t think I can beat the price I get from Clean Eatz .Staff has always been nice to me , and the place is always clean . They got my business probably for a long...
Read moreThis location is great. The staff is very helpful and welcoming. Seating is available inside and outside, which is nice. Every time I have been here, it was clean and all items were stocked up. I have yet to find a frozen meal from Clean Eatz that I enjoy more than freshly cooked meals, but I don't fault them for that necessarily since I'm not usually a frozen-meal-eater. Their bacon chicken ranch flatbread thing is very good, although messy. They serve quality fresh veggies and the ranch dip is good. The chocolate covered strawberry and berry berry good smoothies are pretty tasty, but don't expect smoothie flavors like Tropical Smoothie Cafe or Smoothie King. The protein powder used in Clean Eatz smoothies is obviously more "healthy" than others so it's noticeable, but if you give it a minute, it's a decent smoothie. I will say that the wait time for smoothies is usually much longer than waiting for fresh food. It can be frustrating to stand around waiting for a smoothie if your food is already done and you're trying to get somewhere quickly. I hope that part gets better over time. I still give them five stars overall because everything I've ordered has been accurate and they...
